It's now been seven days since I did the DIY strike brands on my right hand. For the majority of the week it's been sore as fuck. Luckily noone in work has noticed the brands yet. The side of a hand is actually a reasonably subtle area for work such as this.
Waking up this morning I decided to remove the four scabs to ensure the end result has some good scarification. So, using a pair of sterilized tweezers, I carefully pulled the four scabs off.
The first and third scabs came off quite easily. The second one was a bit of a cunt to get the last bit off, but the final one (at the top) was a right bastard.
Once they were all removed I wiped them down with a alcohol wipe. I knew it was going to sting somewhat but yikes!!!!

Well, as a few of you guys already know, life has had a dramatic change for me of late. I'm not going to go pouring my heart out here (that's not really something I do...especially on a fucking blog), but what I will say is that after six years of being with one of the most beautiful girls (both inside and out), we have decided to end our relationship together. Both of us are hoping to remain good friends afterwards...but at the moment, things are a bit raw, so only time will tell.
With the break-up comes a massive financial issue (we have a house together with all the furniture in it bought 50/50). Until I know where I stand with all this, I will be holding back on spending any large quantities of cash. Alas, this has therefore put on hold my arm implant plans. Suspension events and tattoo projects are also on hold for me for the time being. I really hope this won't be for too long. I have many ideas I would like to do...but for now I will have to wait.
Outside of all these issues, I have been working damn hard at work, climbing that greasy pole for the promotion I've been after for the last 12 months. I will find out in July whether or not I have got it. The promotion will open a hell of a lot of doors for me if I do manage it. I hate putting so much weight on money, but at the moment I need to be practical about life.
Anyway...since my last post (which was a fucking long time ago) there have been a few changes with my mods. Firstly, I removed my 6mm navel ring due to some serious migration (which was observed and commented on by a few of you). I also removed my lorum and lowest scrotal piercing, also due to migration.
On the positive side, I stretched my tongue up to 2mm a week or so ago, which was the first stretch I've done on my tongue piercing. I have no plans to go to any big gauge...just a little thicker might be nice.
I also stretched up my top sctotal piercing to 7mm, with a nice new 7mm barbell sitting snugly in there. The final stretch was my septum to a rather respectable 9mm. I've got a clear acrylic plug sitting in it which feels quite comfortable (apart from the initial soreness of the stretch that is).
Lastly and most importantly, I did my first DIY strike branding on myself last Saturday night. The brands are located on the outside of my right hand and are four 9mm circles. The branding itself was fairly straight forward but did smart a little. I wore a surgical mask, but once the brands were done, I pulled it off and good god the smell of burnt flesh was strong!
Well, I can't stop looking at the brands now. They're quite sore at the moment, but looking very neat. I love them! In the photos below, the circles don't look as perfect as they do now. The pics were taken yesterday and the dead skin around the edges is a bit ragged in them. Now that this dead skin has come away, all four brands appear to be spot on with perfect shape to them. Hopefully this will come out well in the final scars.
I haven't decided yet if I'm going to irritate them or just leave them the hell alone. I want the scars to be quite subtle (which is a good idea as they're on my hand), but I don't want there to be no scarring whatsoever. I think I'll probably play it by ear. Any suggestions would of course be very much appreciated.
I'll probably end up doing some identical branding on my left hand at a later stage, but first I'm going to see how these ones turn out.
Oh yeah...and I'll be writing a 'BME experience' on them once they've healed enough for a good write-up. I'm also working on a 'BME experience' for my last two suspensions and my 100 needle play piercing session.
Right...I've written faaaaar too much now. If you've read all the way to here then thanks! Not exactly the most interesting of reads, but this is becoming more of a journal for myself than anything else.
Will hopefully see some of you guys soon. A meet-up will certainly be on the cards sometime over the next month or so. Love to you all.

Well...thanks to Alice from the 'Constant Elevation' team, I did my first knee suspension at the Swansea Inkfest last Saturday (16th Feb 08).
The hooks went in absolutely fine. Alice (IAM: namesofthedead) did one set and the handsome fella that is Nik (IAM: Neek) did the other.
Fuck me does the knee suspension smart somewhat though. All in all, it took me three attempts at going up to actually stay up...and only on the third attempt was it for any real length of time. Not that I was up for much longer than ten seconds on that last attempt anyway! All three times I was actually off the floor, but I really didn't feel comfortable in any sort of physical or mental way until that last attempt.
Afterwards I thought that that would be it for me and knee suspensions. But on further reflection, I've decided that I'll probably give it another go some time...
Still...it was a corker of a day and another fucking awesome and intense experience thanks to 'Constant Elevation'.
Was also a pleasure to meet up with a load of IAM people again too. Cheers guys 'n' girls...I raise my glass to you all.

Firstly, here's the next seven days of the healing process of my scars from my vertical chest suspension. These are days 38 - 44, running from top left which is Day 38 to bottom right which is Day 44. The healing's been going very well of late, with the scar tissue totally covering the wounds now.
Next, and a thousand times more important...BME's back up motherfuckers!!! I still can't believe it. With all the updates that have gone on, I now have another five experiences that have been added (4 of which were featured!!!).
I also have a tonne of photos from the past god knows how long that have been added. These photos span across a load of different sections within BME. I've had a browse around and found a shit load of them. Alas, I haven't yet been emailed about any of them being added (as you usually would be with their links etc), and I haven't been sent any IAM tokens. Has anyone had an email/tokens for any of the photos they submitted since last September time? I expect they will all arrive soon...but I was just wondering if this was the same across the board.
Oh yeah, and I had a long chat with Samppa on the phone a couple of days ago and we're going to be sorting out my arm implants soon (well, in between all of his jetting off to Tokyo and India etc). I'll also be getting silicone domes rather than Teflon ones. Costs quite a bit more, but they'll be a lot kinder on my forearms!
Finally, it's the first Wales & West Suspension Team meet-up this Saturday to discuss how we're all going to get this thing going. Really looking forward to meeting a load of new BME people...and seeing a lot of familiar faces too.

I’m using this post as a way of inquiring about getting my arm implants done.
What I want done is four 30mm Teflon domes on each arm (eight domes in total) that run down my forearms.
On my right arm I have a large tattoo which I plan to have the domes incorporated within the design. For a clearer idea, please refer to the below photos. With the placement already determined by the tattoo design on my right arm, I would like the left arms placement to be exactly the same.
I understand that migration of the domes can be an issue after the procedure is completed, but I am hoping that this will be minimal if I use a pressure bandage for the first few days afterwards and generally look after the implants (and myself) well.
One of the issues is the location of the lowest implant. This is approximately 50mm away from the point of my elbow (see photo below). I am hoping that this will be ok if the incision is made at the wrist end of my arm and the implants slide downwards from there.
I have stated that I wish the domes to be 30mm, but I would like to discuss this further with the practitioner. I do want them to be quite large, but am I am happy to discuss if a smaller size is more suitable.
I have contacted the various UK based practitioners who deal with implants with a link to this post.
