Hi there! My name is Nikki, I'm nineteen years old, and I live in Edmonton, Canada. I thrive happily like a little guppy fishy in the bodmod community. I love mods, my mods, mods on other people, and seeing happy, well educated people going about their daily business with a half sleeve poking out of a t-shirt or a 00ga labret, it makes me smile.

I like to know what I do to my body, and it's my personal belief that anyone with mods should have the same perspective as well. That means being familiar with APP approved practices, what makes 'good' body jewlery versus crap, and what suits their anatomy for a long-lasting, easy-healing, overall positive experience. My body mods are both a spiritual experience and a life experience. To me, what I do to myself makes me grow as a person into an image that I have created and wish to emulate for the most idea mind-to-body compliance.

Enough about bodmods though, what do I do in daily life? I go to school full time at the University of Alberta, where I'm currently majoring in psychology and minoring in english. I love the way the mind works, the thoughts of a psychopath to me are like what the most intricate violin rhythm is to a professional violinist with classical training.

I play the electric guitar, the cello, and the clarinet. Music moves my mind as well as my body. Music is everywhere in my life - on the bus, it makes the traffic bearable on the way to school. On my break, it makes waiting less boring. When I'm at home, it is in the background somewhere. When I'm driving. When I'm at work. I'm not going to go all 'typical music junkie' on you and create this ginormous list of bands I like though, I'll save that for you to infer. I like metal, punk, ska, rock in many forms, blues, jazz, classical, techno and even the occasional rap, R'n'B and hip-hop track will catch my attention. Make your suggestions, I'll give anything a once-over.

I make synthetic dreads, and am interested in alternative style. Sumptuous materials, Louis XVI - or Rennaissance - inspired dresses make me salivate and get a little happy in the pants. That's not to say I don't appreciate the occasional latex dress, or your 'everyday jeans and t-shirt' uniform, but they all have their place and their time.

Don't be afraid. I don't bite hard - and only if you ask me to. So talk to me!

2009/10/07 23:42 So Saturday I went to Children of Bodom with Lacey...I'm really happy she's living in the city...and not just in the city but literally across the feild from me. Anyways, I really ended up fucking myself up pretty good, I got an elbow in the face and ended up meeting Children with dried, frozen blood streamed down my face. It was definitely one of the best shows I've ever been to, even if I'm in serious pain almost a week later. Going to do my Halloween stuff this weekend, and Thanksgiving dinner on Monday with the fam. Work has been mad busy as October is the big buy month until December for Christmas, so I've processed nearly $6000 in the past week. If this keeps up I may not even have to work these extra shows next month for my Christmas money. Oh, Chris got a promotion to daytime Buffet Prep Chef. He works days now which is great cuz we get the whole evening off together. Now if I could get my sleep schedule back on track and stop coming home and crashing for three hours, we might actually be able to spend even more time together.

wahahaha
2009/08/17 23:58 Have some good and not good stories to relate. Good - Chris got a job, and it's awesome. - I've put in my two weeks at Montana's - I've finally convinced the boy that violent sex can be wonderful, multiorgasmic, smorgasbord of pleasure and he's REALLY getting into it. Like, has bought me a collar into it, and has agreed to come to a munch/workshop/playparty with me next month. Not so good -Not everyone knows or understands my/our kink and I was grabbed by some crazy lady at safeway and choked half to death by my collar. Which by the way is locked on and can't exactly be removed without a little help. -a cousin of mine had a bad acid trip and lit himself on fire last week. Eh but life goes on.

HOLY POO.
2009/03/07 18:12 So, lots of new things. Still working at Montana's but got a new job slinging sex toys at my mom's company. Pays da bills. Found a kitten before Christmas, named her Beep, she's super cute. Been doing sex shows every other weekend all over Canada this winter. Life is good. Money troubles are nonexistant. The end?

Karma is kicking my acehole.
2008/09/09 12:34 Been up to not much lately, just work, work, more work, and trying to get a handle on the housecleaning.
My couch decided to break, so it's in perma laid-out-futon mode on my floor, with the matress all ripped up and leaking square foam stuffing all over my house and apartment building.
Chris is feeling better, thankfully (lol, I was going crazy)...Erm, and now I'm on crutches for some pulled tendons and ligaments. Bored as hell lately, I'm reading home decor books and making dinner every night for my 'family' - which has grown from Chris and I and roommate Allen, to Chris, Allen, his beeyotch Sarah and her friend Corie, plus myself. You can regularly find us huddled over plates of fine meat-eaty cuisine with a side dish of vegetarian something-or-other, for me...at about 2am, with some kind of cut thriller playing in the background. It's pretty homey now-a-days, I kind of feel like I'm getting back into the routine of it all.
Finally.
Signing off,
Yours Truly.
