Hey I'm RJ, 23, muso, play bass in the kick ass band Mill Perra (www.myspace.com/millperra), just come out of the recording studio so we'll have tracks up soon.
I love reading, mainly stuff related to spirituality and ancient cultures, which is where I derive most of my tattoo concepts from. I'm not religious at all but feel that theres definitely more to life so I love exploring whats out there.
As much as I love to live with my head in the clouds I still love to get out and tear it up with my mates, they keep me sane and keep me grounded.
Piercings:
-6 Gauge stretchers, just got them pierced at this gonna start stretching em further once they heal
-14 gauge lip
-16 gauge nose

-Chestpiece: in progress, sugar skull with a bass guitar & old school microphone on a stand crossing behind it, with all feathers flowers and stuff fillin the background.
-Neck: Seal of solomon on the left side, NERV logo from the anime series Neon Genesis, the ink didnt hold in the NERV one, looks like crap so getting it covered soon.
-Left Forearm: Anubis with the lettering 'Thought is, thought creates'
-Right forearm: Thoth with the lettering 'As is above so is below'
-Right sleeve: Mixture of tribal work, celtic triskelle, a tomoe, tree of life, bear (spirit guide), letterwork: A world so cold.
-Right Thigh: Tasmanian tiger stripes.
-Knuckles: Lettering, Awakened
-Right shoulder blade: Celtic cross.
-Stomach: Letterwork: Know Thy Self in an arch across the top.
-Lower stomach: egyptian sundisc with 2 swords crossing beneath it, each sword wrapped with a cobra (swords are a take on the caduceus)

Start of ear stretching: Got both ears pierced at 6 gauge, not sure how high i wanna go yet, nothing too huge thinkin maybe 20mm, but im being told that once you start its hard to stop and stay content

2009/10/27 22:06 First gig for my band Mill Perra this Saturday, kind of a warm up thing, Not really promoting it much wanna work out our live show before we book a better venue are starting promoting.
Then yeah next week we're in the studio, recording 3, maybe 4 tracks. We're indecisive yet if it will be hard copy release or just for promotional purposes, online and what not.
Either way, its been years since i've worked with a band that stayed steady, stoked to be back to it, I feel the most like myself when I'm consistently gigging and kept busy with my music, couldn't be happier

2009/10/07 01:03 Well still havnt put much time into sussin out this site, but eh.
Moved into this wicked house with one of the guys from my band, bout a 5 minute drive from the beach, pretty stoked on that.
Other than that nothing exciting, really itchin to get some of my unfinished tats worked on, but moving house has left me broke as, lame.
Oh actually got the first gig lined up for my band, halloween gig, then the following week we're in the studio recording a 3 or 4 track EP, pumped for that, been a long time comin and finally the bands making some headway.
Change upon change
2009/08/23 15:48 It seems my life is going through a complete renewal, within a week of the breakup with my gf, me n my housemates found out our lease wasn't being renewed and had to move out.
The last 2 weeks have been utter chaos, but when I think now I've really needed my life to be turned upside down. A place with no memories, no reminders, would be absolutely ideal.
As much as I hate instability I think the next few weeks are going to be very interesting.
A New Day
2009/08/13 18:07 A lot of change this week, split up with my gf of a year and a half, as a result she moved out. Getting used to it all now slowly, its all for the better, plus I'm loving this new found freedom, she was a great girl and I don't want to be that guy that slags off the ex, it just didnt work in the end so thats that.
I'm loving this new found freedom, getting out more, visiting mates I havnt seen anyway near enough recently, I think its put a great new perspective in my head, the last few girls i've been serious with all for some odd reason end up being the type to hate going anywhere and have only 1 or 2 close friends. I'm gonna enjoy this single life, but whenever I am gonna start looking again its definitely going to be someone with dreams, ambitions and most importantly, their own life. It was amazing to feel needed but to be completed depended on coz they had next to noone other than family is something completely different.
Anyways, at this point Karnivools song A New Day is summing up things nicely, can't stop listening to it. Anyways, got mates that should be here sooon so I am off wooot!
