"Never hire or promote in your own image. It is foolish to replicate your strength and idiotic to replicate your weakness. It is essential to employ, trust, and reward those whose perspective, ability, and judgment are radically different from yours. It is also rare, for it requires uncommon humility, tolerance, and wisdom."

2008/06/12 00:35 A couple of weeks ago I recieved a message through flickr saying that one of my photos has been selected for an online travel guide, and would it be okay to use it. Of course I didn't decline this request and promptly filled out all me details confirming that they could use the picture. Today I recieved another message saying that my photo had passed screening and would definately be used in the guide.
The guide is called Schmap and the photo is for Harewood house in Leeds. It's one of the pictures I took whilst watching Iggy Pop last summer. I'm really chuffed that the image got used and has been published. You can view the original image here and the image in the guide here.

I've lost track of everything these past few weeks. Uni has been exceptionally crazy what with the end of year events coming up. But it's finally over now. Work went very well I thought (even though it wasn't quite what I aimed to achieve >.>) Now it's summer all the way through. Full of lazy days in the park, climbing trees and not doing very much at all.
Hopefully I'll also be able to get overtime, which means I can save some money, which means I can finally afford this tattoo I've wanted for the past three years but have never been able to afford XD
Wish me luck |

Hello there.
My account had expired for a while, and I had kind of lost touch with the things going on around here. Along with generally being really busy with uni and work, I never got around to renewing it. Anyway, I've now updated my account so I have a nice six months set up.
As far as everything goes, I've been busy working on some interesting projects at uni; such as 3D virtual environments, and working on creating interactive landscapes (which was a hellish project). I also have a nice shiny new Mac Pro =D I've also got a nrew job working in a library which is actually really good fun and pays really well, which is in addition to working on what looks like it could be a really big website project.
Things overall seem to be going pretty well ^.^ |

I moved into my first flat ast night :D It's pretty cool, though we don't have internet access just yet (note: sort that out soon); but yeah, it's really cool.
I think I've finally given up on my Septum piercing. It came out a while ago in my sleep, and since then I haven't worried about it too much. It looks kind of strange if I put jewellery in it now. I guess I kind of grew out of it.
Anyways, now I need to go and finish packing. Hopefully I'll get to write here again once I've set up the inernet at the new place. |

Woo! An update. We've been ging to a lot of gigs lately; which has been really good fun and also a great chance for me to practice taking music photos. There's loads uploaded onto Flickr now, so rather than post them all here, I'll just link to my account.
The ones in Leeds are from when we stayed at our friend Avons house and went to see Iggy and The Stooges. It was such a good day. We had free VIP passes which resulted in free drinks, party bags, having space hopper races and playing Pop-Up Pirate with Faris from The Horrors. It was a shame to have the weekend end to be honest. We're hoping to go and see The Hatcham Social and Neils Children in the next couple of weeks which should be good fun. I also managed to get a ticket to see Bill Bailey in Novemeber. I can't wait!
