| Little Dolphins | | I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way. Hi! I'm Angela, or Little Dolphins. I guess I'm what you could call a Baby Modder. I've only recently gotten into this wonderful world, but I love it wholeheartedly, and have embraced the wonderful things I can do with my body.
Let me tell you what I look like: I'm a Rubanesque gal, and at 5'9" I've got pretty long legs. My eyes are green and a pretty cool shape. My hair is dark brown and 3 feet long, give or take. As far as Mods go, I've got a few. Let's start at the top. My ears have 4 holes each... a triple helix and 00ga lobes. Heading southwards: I've got 12ga stainless CBR's in my nipples, horizontally pierced. My tattoos are mostly around my waist, with my name in Runes with some awesome vinework on my right hip, and there's a neat self-designed tribal on the small of my back. The last two mods are "down there." I have two Little Dolphins tattooed on my mons, jumping up and facing each other. Then we have what is possibly my favorite of them all, my 14ga CBB Vertical Clitoral Hood. I'll be keeping this updated as these mods are added to. P.S. I'm looking to get into suspensions, so if you're in the North Eastern New England region and you do them, help a gal out? Thanks! My experiences: My latest addition, my nipple rings! The steel hiding in my pants.

| 2005/06/09 20:22 Ok... I’m going to rant a wee bit here. Tonight, I was watching a rerun of Ripley’s Believe it or Not on The SciFi Channel and I happened to catch the segment which involves a “Superman” suspension from a helicopter. The man who is doing the suspension is obviously a habitual modder, what with his visible piercings, gauges, and tattoos. What bothers me about this fellow is that I’ve seen him on TV before. The Discovery Channel has a special that they run, entirely on body modification. This guy is on that show as well. Now, it seems to me, as a modder and as a woman who wants to suspend, that something as personal and as emotionally-charged as a suspension is something done for one’s self... one’s emotional health and psychological journey, not something done for fame. The fact that this modder is repeatedly putting what is an uncommon, misunderstood, and looked-down-upon part of our community on national airwaves for what is apparently his own personal gain is simply discouraging and rather sickening. This is the same reason I’m not fond of “Freak Show” modders. They’re out there for the shock value, not necessarily for their own self-fulfilment. All of my mods (11 piercings, 00ga earlobe project, and 3 tattoos) were done for my own spiritual and personal betterment, not to see from how many people I could illicit gasps and odd comments. While I do understand the occasional fun of putting pens and things through my earlobes, my gauges in particular were done to remind me of pain and fear that I’ve had to overcome in my life, and that none of that pain has been insurmountable. My tattoos all have personal meanings, and my body piercings are a way of claiming control over my own body. That this man would expose something that should be a healthy, cleansing experience to world just irritates me, almost takes away from what I hope to experience when I finally make my trip to the hooks and back. |
