The knife came down, missing him by inches, and he took off.

Writer, college student, geek. I'm not that great with self-description. I post diary entries that are boring when I should be trying to write things of a more serious nature. I literally live in South Park.

I like to read, but rarely make time to do it. I've started painting bad pictures on convas boards again after a four year hiatus. I have a selection of my writings, including my recent poetry, on my webpage now. My cat's breath does, in fact, smell like catfood.

I have six piercings right now - half-inch and 10g in each lobe, tongue and left nipple. Not very flashy. Also started my first tattoo (photos of various stages of healing/work so far in geek tattoos section of BME), inspired by Joseph Heller's masterpiece of literature, Catch 22. I haven't had enough cash to get it finished up, and that really bothers me. I need to find a job, but apparently the tattoo artist is on tour with his band anyhow. I should have my right nipple pierced before very long and I may stretch my lobes a bit more. Definitely interested in getting fairly heavy tattoo coverage eventually.

Oh, that's nice
2006/11/28 17:48 So, I just found out that my IAM account has been active for some time now, and I didn't even realize it. Nothing to complain about at all - I've been browsing as though my account had expired for close to a year it seems. Don't count on a lot entires, but maybe now that the option is there I'll make better use of it.

Maybe this whole blogging thing isn't for me
2005/11/30 21:25 Yeah.....I'm awful at writing updates. I reactivated my account and then haven't really done anything to it since then. It's going to expire again in a few days, and I'm not sure if I'll renew it or not. I'm so busy right now, what with final comming up, reading poems for the literary journal, and trying to make myself prepare for grad school. It's not like I don't waste plenty of time, I just can't seem to get myself writing anything blog-y lately.

I've started working on some pastel pictures lately. I'm sure by the end of the next two weeks, I'll have had enough important projects to avoid that I will be able to paper my walls in bad art, all the dishes will be spottlessly clean and I might even have a book-length poetry collection finished!

No sleep for the wicked
2005/07/04 16:15 I'm not going to sleep tonight - I'm spending today packing stuff up/cleaning the house, and will be leaving at around 3:30 AM to drive to Charlotte, NC and catch a plane for Denver. Three weeks of hiking all over the American West, from South Dakota into California.

Check the schedule

It's going to be a real experience, hopefully good. I'm bringing way to many books, so hopefully I'll catch up on my leisure-reading. Check hatefulhelp.com for updates when I can find a wireless hotspot - I should have hundreds upon hundreds of photos.

This weather.....
2005/06/15 16:13 I'm really starting to get fed up with this weather - right now as I look out the window, there's a giant black cloud that could probably pour an inch or two of rain, yet there's no rain forecast for the day and definitely nothing showing up on local radar. It goes like this every day - I'm sitting around here thinking about how it would be nice to go for a bike ride, maybe just ride myself down to a new shop I found recently and check them out.

Chances are, it won't rain a bit. It usually dosn't, but it seems that every damn day this summer, I sit here staring at obvious storm clouds that never end up raining. What's worse, they tend to build up just when I finally want to ride - it tends to be hot as hell here, and really humid, so I like to wait until after the sun get's well away from peak before I head out. Can't do that though, because that's when the stormclouds form. It's go riding at risk of downpour/electrical storm, don't ride and sulk around the apartment, or ride in the burning sun at the hotest time of the day.

I should stop being such a ninny about it and jsut live with the heat I guess. But if I do that I know I'll probably end up cutting all my hair off to reduce cranial insulation. This is something I'm not yet sure I am willing to do. It probably needs to be done before I go on my big roadtrip to the wild west next month, but I'm still undecided.

I think I'm going to go ahead and pierce my other nipple soon, let it get healed up before that trip.
