My name is Marina. :)
I turned 23 this April. Unlike most ppl my age, I have been fortunate enough to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life.
In December 2006, I started working at a brand new, beautiful shop called Atomic Zombie, which is located in downtown Edmonton. Although the website is still in the works, check it out for constant updates. Although I am not taking on any new clients for the time being, there are 7 other great artists who work there; they are definitley worth checking out.
I started my tattoo apprenticeship right after I graduated highschool. Although I was enthusiatic about my newly-found career move, I had some definate smartening-up to do. Without the support and guidance of a couple key individuals, I probably wouldn't have even survived my apprenticeship. I had to be reminded that working in this industry is a privilage, and that if I didn't smarten up about certain things I would never make it.
I started tattooing about a year after I got hired, and have been doing it full time since May 2005.
I never thought I would find a proffesion that allows so much artistic freedom and expression. I have only just dipped my toes into the pool of the tattooing industry, and I cannot wait to expand my knowledge of the art.
I was fortunate enough to have an art teacher for a mother. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, so getting to draw on ppl all day is a dream come true for me.
I can't beleive it took me this long to get on BME, I am excited to be able to share with so many talented individuals.
This description will get better with age.... :P
oh yeah, I will try to respond to everyone on here, but it can be hard at times. Serious tattoo inquiries would be appreciated to be done through the shop (780) 482 2662. thanx
ALSO I must apologize to anyone interested in getting tattooed. I am booking into late 2010 and cannot take on any new clients at this time. I will post if this situation changes. :)

In spite of my very brief and unsatisfying marriage, I was also bummed out that such a nice wedding dress was wasting away in my closet, never to be worn again...So, I figured Id put it to good use; an amazing photoshoot with an amazing photographer, Morgan at Bear's Skin Art (www.themurderinquestion.com) Looks like I can hang wedding dress photos after all ;)
