2009/10/23 21:08 Wow, had a bad dose of the flu this week, it's really hit me and although I haven't taken time off work I'm so glad it's the weekend and I can just sleep. It seems that each day I'd have a new symptom and I lost my voice which has been really hard seeing I'm in charge of a group of guys too, a fun week!
Another Year Older
2009/07/29 22:28 Today is my birthday, I'm 44 but guess I feel like I'm still in my 20's and deffinatly agree with the saying if you feel young, you'll stay young! I got a USB turntable for my birthday so that I can start to convert my vinyl into MP3's as there's singles and albums in my collection that have never been released onto CD so it should be great listening to them again. I got a Northwave cycling kit as well so I've done quite well.
I've been to Manchester today and went into Holier Than Thou and had both my tragus pierced. Only felt a slight couple of seconds worth of pain as the needle went through, but they are looking good. I'm slowly stretching my lobes up to 16mm as well so maybe next week I'll try some 16mm jelwelry in them!
Ear Stretching
2009/07/05 17:41 I went to Manchester yesterday and called in a piercing shop there that I have previously been pierced in before. I called in there as the piercing shop I used to go to here closed ages ago and the other piercing shops here I don't really trust. Anyhow, I wanted to get some advice about stretching my ears up to 20mm, the holes I've got are not level (due to ears being pierced in a shop over 20 years ago). I went to seek advice to see if they could be levelled out so that I can go to 20mm but he told me that he wouldn't advise me going that far as it wouldn't look right, even if I had them scapelled. He suggested going another 2mm but that's all otherwise I run the risk of the lobe thinning out. I'm a little pissed that I can't go to 20mm but have to be realistic so I'll start to stretch to 16mm next week and buy some new plugs and see how that goes!
Newspaper Entry
2009/05/29 10:27 On Sunday 24th of May, Hull had it's first tattoo convention and was a great success. It was great being able to go to a convention without having to travel so far away. It was only on for one day this year, but next year it is going to be over 2 days which should be great. I was interviewed for the local newspaper and got in the Bank holiday Monday edition of the paper complete with a photo of my back too which was awesome!
