| 2008/05/29 15:08 I've decided to try learning how to tattoo by hand - I've always liked the idea and the look of it, and I'm hankering for a new craft to learn this summer. Also, I don't like how body modification is professionalized and commercialized (yes, I know how much good it does for modders and the industry, and no, I still don't like it.) I'd like to take my tattoos more into my own hands. I got some practice skin, which I'm going to flesh out some basic skills on, and then I'm going to try to tattoo my own left foot. If all goes well, I should be wearing a colorful permanent sock by the end of the summer! |

| 2008/04/08 19:59 Somebody kind (I forget her IAM name, so sorry) reminded me of the lemon-juice-and-salt mixture for irritating cuts, so I'm going to try a grid on my thigh, I think. I'm more in it for the pain than the scars (in most cases), so if this ends up getting very keloided, I think I'll try something different. I'd go for isopropanol, but I'm sort of worried about that doing too much damage or even getting into my blood stream in too great a quantity. I guess I am assuming that lemon juice and salt are completely safe to scrub into your body with a toothbrush... Anyways, I'll post on how it goes later on. Peace. |

| 2008/04/03 22:46 I got a sweet new music player for my page, although if you're reading this I'm sure you've already seen it (and I'm sure no one is reading this). I've got a new project in the works called "The Time We Have Grows Thin, Anyways", which sort of documents my moods as I move towards the end of my time in Buffalo this year, as well as pushing towards abjectly unintuitive and unintelligible music. Kelly told me today that she wants to get an IAM page, so we'll get to see plenty of her pretty shiny things real soon!
I'm pretty in love with life at the moment, thanks to some good friends, lots of interesting school work, and a razor blade.
Speaking of that, I tried abrading my chest cutting with a toothbrush and pouring vinegar on it today. It was pretty intense, but using the vinegar in a shared restroom (I live in a dorm) was a bad idea. I'm pretty sure it stunk for at least a few hours afterwards. It felt pretty delicious, though; it was much more painful that doing the cuttings themselves, and could have been more if I had left the vinegar on instead of rinsing it off so quickly. Maybe next time I'll make sure to do it in an environment where I can savor the experience without worrying about the smell. I'm sure there's a better acid out there to use, but I don't really have the resources to go hunting. |

| 2008/04/03 09:05 I was 208 pounds yesterday! Joy, etc.
Its funny how drastic a modification weight-training is, given that it's more accepted by American culture than many other, less drastic mods.
FUCK YEAH, CREATINE! |
