2008/11/12 20:21 Throwing things away feels great! I got this habit from my mother, who loves to get rid of things.
I have four days off in a row, since I have traded Steve shifts so he can go home to get his car. I have been cleaning and organizing and it has been great! 2 full bags of books went to the awesome second-hand bookstore down the street where I got new books and have a decent remaining credit. 4 garbage bags of various items and clothing went to the Salvation Army and two small bags of clothes and random items came back with me.
The highlight has been spending quality time with my paper shredder. I finally went through my collection of industry and APP materials. There were items that I kept for no good reason, as all they did is bring me sadness. Those items went through the shredder last night and brought me an amazing amount of happiness. It feels great to destroy things that make you feel shitty. :)
Oh, and I have almost made it through day 10 of not smoking. I woke up last Monday and did not feel like smoking, so I haven't smoked. (Notice how I have not used the words "quitting" or "quit". I have not decided what this is other than not smoking.)
2008/11/04 14:53 William Rafti sent me a message on my Myspace page today that was rude enough to tear apart a picture (that I just added last night) from March 11th, 2007. That was one of my favorite nights and favorite photos and I am a bit miffed to read about the supposed cross-contamination in the photo (which is NOT there) and the condescending way that I was asked for permission for him to use my photo in his BBP class as an example of what not to do.
My day off has been nice, then William Rafti puts a damper on it. I wrote back telling him that he does not have permission to use any of my pictures ever, removed him from my friends (he was only there to monitor his weirdness when I was in politics), and changed my profile to private. Now that I am all worked up, I am going to go to the gym for some weight training and pilates, then greek with Megan and some friends and am going to forget this little annoyance and enjoy the rest of my day.
