What inspires you should entire you, live how you wannabe loved.
Hey,I am Jon a 25 year old indie/hardcore kid. I play synthesizer and guitar. I listen to everything from Do Make Say Think, Explosions in the Sky and the Album Leaf to Converge, The Number Twelve Looks Like You and Boysetsfire. I started out interested in piercings. That interest lead me to tattoos. Since then I have put peircings on the back burner and been more into tattoos. Just got a dermal piercing, but not sure if I will get anymore piercings. I am also an artist. I do freelance graphic design. I run/design my own clothing company called Nightmare City Apparel(www.nightmare-city.com) we design and silkscreen tshirts as well as making dresses and skirts. Our theme is deconstruction/reconstruction. All our dresses are made from recycled and reused fabrics. I am also the counter guy for Sacred Skin in Des Moines Iowa. I figured it was about time I got an I AM account so here I am :)

2009/05/08 22:53 So had another fun day at work. Was kinda slow but steady. Got the photos from the photoshoot and fashion show. They look amazing. Working on editing them now. One of the designs is hard to see on the color of shirt and color ink we used, so may retake the photos with a different combo. Anyone want to model? haha
I saw photos of the finished result of the Enigma's scarification that were posted on bmezine so figured i would share some of the photos I took while he was getting it done. For those that don't know, the scarification was done by John Durante

2009/05/05 01:08 Sweet, finally got my IAM coupons so i am back in action!
The fashion show thursday went amazing! can't wait to see photos. I didnt get to watch since i was backstage and couldnt see my models walk. But from everyones comments it went really good! My models did so good as zombies. Make up and hair were amazing too. I am in debt to my models and make-up and hair people!
We did a photoshoot before the fashion show and what i have seen so far from the photographer looks sweet! Will post them when i get them.
The day after the fashion show we did a free piercing day at the tattoo shop I work. It was so crazy. little kids puking on our couch, but good thing is we got new nice leather furniture now that looks so much better in the shop. We cut off the line for piercings at 7:30 and we were there till 11:40pm finishing everyone in line. Nothing like staying at work an extra 3 hours. Sucks for Brian the piercer, since he was working the whole day for free. What he made in tips was equal to him doing 17 piercings which kinda sucks for him. I'll never understand why people don't tip their piercers or tattoo artists.
2009/04/29 23:26 So worked most of the day today at sacred skin. Had a model fitting after work and I'm happy to say that the last dress is complete! One day before the fashion show. Haha. Now all I need to do is silk screen the shirts and I will be done! I can't believe it took me so long to get everything ready. Should have had everything done before the day of the fashion show but oh well haha. I'm excited now. Hope everything goes well and the dresses don't fall apart on the runway haha. Will post photos of our new line and the fashion show soon.

I'm still working the counter at Sacred Skin in Des Moines Iowa. I love it. Working with some amazing artists. Getting some amazing tattoos. What could be better? haha. I've gotten quite a few tattoos since last update. I've started getting different artists interpretations of our logo (nightmare city logo, butterfly with antlers). Have about 6 of those now. I also finished my chest piece which is amazing. Was done by Derek Hutchison.
Also been busy with the clothing. We have a fashion show in 2 days. been getting designs ready for that. All our tshirt designs are zombie themed with some local tattoo artists doing some designs. For the fashion show we also decided to go into actual fashion and make dresses. Definately got myself in deep but worth it. All the dresses we did are made out of tshirts, hoodies, bedsheets, etc. Why buy new fabric when we can recycle whats out there! I will post photos of the fashion show and the dresses after the show.
I'm excited for the fashion show. The Enigma is modeling for us in the show. Enigma doing runway? yea I thought same thing but he is all about it and the other models may have to step it up haha.
