2010/01/06 01:22 Well, hot damn. It's been five months since I've been on bme. My account expired and I just said fuck it... but Rachel has added three months for free? Okay, I guess. Kewl.
Haven't really been up to much that is very constructive. Winters in Milwaukee are quite... hibernatory? I've been playing a lot of Steam games like Counter-Strike and Killing Floor etc. etc. Feel free to add me if you also have an account... Shade_of_Ink is my account name.
Otherwise... umm... I've been doing a lot of clinical research studies for copious amounts of money with no side effects what-so-ever. There's a lot of stigma associated with such a thing, but it's honestly safer than a lot of things that I've voluntarily subjected myself to in the past.
I haven't really painted much, but I have a bunch of new canvas and paint so hopefully I will get to that soon. Here's a few pieces that I've done in the past few months... one is a piece I made in a Intro to Metals class. It's bronze, copper, and aluminum with a liver of sulfur patina. All hand made with a jewelry saw and rivets. Also, my new ebony concave plugs from onetribe. Another picture is me putting a chunk of a bamboo pen into a horn plug I have. Looks pretty cool. I wish I had actual plugs like that. Lastly, a picture of me with my newest winter beard.
Life has been crawling by lately. I am still looking for a job, and waiting for my homestead tax returns to come. I'm not going back to school in the Fall, and I'm trying to get my metals piece back from my teacher... but he isn't replying to my emails. Really lame. I've been painting a little bit more, but without money I can't even afford new paints. I'm trying to get a barista job or an organic foods store job... basically something that won't care about my large ear lobes.
2009/05/12 12:59 I haven't updated in forever because nothing terribly interesting has happened.
Although, I stretched my nostrils to 16g and am continuing to do so. My ears are now at 1 1/4" thanks to Kaos softwear.
School is officially over. I um... withdrew from all classes about three weeks ago. Great job. Time to find work again... hopefully bartending, barista-ing, or landscaping. I had better hit up craigslist.
2009/04/04 16:18 So it's been forever since I've made an update, but here it goes:
I got both nostrils pierced about 3 weeks ago at 18g and I'm going to start stretching them relatively soon. I'm going to get my philtrum pierced in a while as well.
I have been dreaming vividly and abstractly for the past 3 weeks.
I am wearing this ridiculous Jordan hat in these pictures because of aforementioned bender. I took it from a girl whom I have been "bending" with. I believe this inexplicable insanity is the result of nice weather.
My metals piece is almost done. So damned close. Pics soon.
2009/03/05 15:03 In a few hours I'm going to Veil of Maya and After the Burial at a local theater. I love smaller more intimate shows and this place has pretty damn good sound. I think I'll pound wine before I go.
My metals piece is coming along nicely. There's still a lot of work to do on it, though.
Played about 500 hours of Battlefield: Bad Company this week. Like woah.

2009/02/22 14:46 So I have an absolute shit ton of work to do today. I'm feeling extremely overwhelmed. I went to a party last night and had a minor breakdown half way through due to anxiety. Totally weird... I'm never normally like this. Whatever.
I'm going to try to get both of my nostrils pierced today. I want to also get my conches and flats punched relatively soon, but I don't know if I trust the shop that is local to me. They're not really into the more hardcore type mods... although they do dermal punches.
Here's a few more pictures of me recently. My ears are healing a little better as it is tending to be a tiny bit less cold lately.
I'm still listening to Beneath the Massacre just about every day. I love their new CD a ridiculous amount.
