My Punctures: Lobes 8mm, 3.2mm(L) and 6mm (R), Bridge 1.2mm, Jestrum 1.2mm, Septum 4mm (finally!), Cheeks 1.6mm, Both nipples sub-areola 1.6mm.
Retired: Lowbret Microdermals, Double Navel, Wrist surface. Fun for duping the stupid into believing I encountered a hungry reptile!
My Pictures: Interrobang on back of neck, Right leg Lupe Fiasco's "The Coolest" inspired half-sleeve in progress
2009/06/17 00:23 My septum is FINALLY at 4mm. About time, as well! I've been trying to stretch it for months but stopping as it was rather painful. I decided to keep going slowly tonight so long as it didn't feel like damaging pain as I realised the septum piercing itself stung a fair bit so a wee bit of pain is to be expected.
Tonight I prevailed. 4mm white earskin in and comfortable.
I'm hoping after this 4mm benchmark further stretches will be easier. I only want it up another couple of mm max, anyway.
In other news I went shopping with my friend, Lisa, from work on sunday. We chose summer clothes for her. It was fun. A chance to exercise my camp side. Going shopping again tomorrow :D
The new iPhone software is out tomorrow, which greatly excites me. Looks brilliant. I'd become rather unenthused with Apple Inc. lately but they seem to be back on game again with Snow Leopard and the iPhone 3.0 software.
Zappa Plays Zappa is playing at the Picturehouse on Thursday, which will be brilliant. I can test out the sound and video recording of 3.0 a little but not too much as I want to enjoy the gig in person rather than living through binary completely. I'll probably blog on the gig :D
2009/05/24 14:06 Most people write New Year resolutions but I feel summer is a better time to make positive changes. I didn't set out to make resolutions but I recently decided on some things I want to do in the near future so a list evolved from that. Without any further ado my list of summer resolutions:
Learn more about tea. www.twitter.com/goodtea, samovarlife.com
Learn to cook impressive food. I can cook yummy homely things but they are all big batch things rather than things I can cook for having people over especially for food. Basically I want to make food to impress the wimminz :P I've made a nice cheese sauce so I'm going to work to improve that to make it more impressive and have come up with a couple of ideas of other things to learn to cook.
Explore the city. I've lived in Edinburgh for over half of my life and still don't really know it that well. I want to discover new cafés, restaurants and bars so I can have a knowledge of where to go for different purposes.
See more live music. I'm a music student planning to work in music as a career so I really should see more gigs and do my part to try to boost the local scene I am so constantly complaining about, which is admittedly improving.
Finish more of my own music so I can finally start my band.
The main thing is just to make the most of the summer. I'll be working but that only accounts for 35 hours a week at most. There's plenty of time around that when I can really make the most of the time I have afforded to me.
The weather looks like it's going to be nice for the rest of the summer (as it is now) so I need to get out there and enjoy it. Going out on the Meadows later to enjoy it with the flatmate's GF so that'll be nice :)
Laters!
My old band
2009/04/17 23:07 just came on on my iTunes shuffle. Funny times. I enjoyed the gigging but I'm glad not to be in the band. I miss being in a band but there's one aspect of the old band I don't miss. By "aspect" I mean person.
There are a couple of band things that should take off at some point but not at this rate. I really want to get my stuff out there but at the same time I want to play some ballsy rock. That's the plan for one of the bands but it could just turn into another wannabe AC/DC if I don't stick to my guns.
Fingers crossed for something.
Today has been quite a good day, generally. Did most of the remainder of my friend's short film soundtrack, cooked and cleaned. My I changed some of the sounds in my new tune the other day and you can now feel it when you listen through headphones. It starts to hurt after a couple of listens. I like the feeling of it but the track needs improved. I have a couple of weeks to do these things. Should be fine. Still far too much work to do, though!
Interrobang Me!
2009/03/27 18:28 My friend, Alex, and I had our interrobang tattoos done today :D They took half an hour and cost £50GBP each (plus £10 tip for each artist). I'm completely thrilled with them.
I'm now considering having punctuation tattooed all down my spine with ellipsis at the bottom. The order would be of finality; interrobang at the top as most final, ellipsis at the bottom as least final.
Geek tattoos for the muthafuckin win!
