I am interested and participate in body modification, pain rituals and fetish culture, and this influence shows heavily in my work.
I recently started working as a part time receptionist at Wildfire Piercing in Cape Town and I am loving being able to talk and think about piercings all day there.

Seriously considering a 2nd septum ring... to hang sort of concentrically... with pretty colour BCRs

Another one or 2 dermals in my cleavage above the existing one (my boobs are tiny, the world needs something to look at!!)
Movie-inspired portrait calfsleeve (is that even a word?)
Elvgren-style army pinup tattoo as a tribute to my late paternal Grandfather, who was a pilot for the British in WW2
Lilies tattoo on the right side of my head (also for my mother)
Possibly a scarification at some stage when I find the right design and placement. It's something ingrained in my history that I find very beautiful. Buddies

SIX 2010 was awesome. Met/chatted to some awesome people, made new friends. Got drunk. Got some photo exposure. got my inklady shot for Garth
Just need to get my ass some money in time for next year so I can actually get some work done. I have my eye on a Laura Juan piece.... *sigh*
I did take lots of photos, but for now I am posting the low res ones people have posted of yours truly at the convention. doing door and pottering around in a state of fatigue

2010/01/31 20:15 I fucking love my first dermal. Purple crystal with blackline titanium... Low in my cleavage. Was going to be a bit higher but my judgement was foiled by my decision to wear a rather nonfunctional (ie: comfy... i hate wearing bras, find them super uncomfortable) bra, so finding my cleavage line was a mission and a half, poor Lliezel having to mark me at least 10 times, only to have me decide to go lower at the last minute.
It hurt like a bitch, I'll admit, but it's stopped hurting pretty fast

2010/01/17 23:22 I'm a lazy one, have SO much to post here and have taken forever to do so.
Have a few of my Graduate work photos (Pain Rituals series) going up at the Wildfire Piercing stall at next weekend's Tattoo Convention (SIX 2010) which is beyond exciting. The photos are of the work I have done with Lliezel of Wildfire, and featuring 4 Wildfire employees, including myself.
