It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane - PKD
Of all the ideas in your head, how many are yours, and how many were put there by someone else?
I am a geek and a rivet head. I am polyamorous, and I share a home with my long-term partner, her husband (or my hetero lifemate as he likes to say), their 2 kids, a dog, and 2 cats. I am easily distracted by shiny things. I am occasionally jaded, bitter and cynical, but try always to be honorable. I believe in a higher power, but I no longer follow any dogmatic religion. I despise all forms of censorship and intellectual control.
I believe in personal responsibility over all. The devil didn't make you do it. In fact, he claims that he doesn't know you.

I performed with the fetish performance group CrimsonMane from 1997 through 2003. We did BDSM, fetish, and body art performances around the Midwest US.
SpikeVision is my rambling attempt to drill through the illusions of consensus reality that obscure the actual world from scrutiny. It penetrates all chicanery and obfuscation.

2007/10/06 13:50 I was re-upped for a bit.
Maudlin
2007/07/25 00:52 Sometimes when I view my IAM page, I get maudlin. The course that life has taken has removed me from the spheres of a lot of my friends on here, as well as all of the performance and ritual that I used to do. That's what life does I suppose.
Anyway, today at work, one of my project team members, a widely disliked busybody was giving grief to one of the new employees about the fact that part of her foot tattoo was visible around the strap of her shoe. This was done in a "I'm just joking" passive aggressive way. I really hate that shit. I've had a run-in with the instigator before that nearly made me quit a very sweet job. I approached my new coworker later in the day and told her not to take any crap off of the individual in question, and that of 27 employees in the company, she is the 5th that I know of, including myself, to have tattoos. This led to a good discussion about artists and plans for future work on both of our parts.
Dennis Miller was right
2007/05/29 00:13 Right after 9/11, Dennis Miller said that "Sometimes life just shit-hammers you." He was right. The last 3 years of my life have seemed that way to me. I know that there are many people who have it far worse off than I do, but damn, can I get a break for a while? I've done my best to ride out everything that has come my way and to be supportive to my family in need, but it doesn't leave much energy left for trying to strive for the things that I want out of life above and beyond that. Everywhere I look, it's just more of the same. In short, being a grown-up sucks ass.
BME Memorabilia for sale
2007/04/25 19:23 I am selling the following items of BME memorabilia:
The black-covered Modcon book (with "I am the Strength of Art" on the cover) with VCD. Number 125 of 500 limited edition. Condition is good overall, with slight creasing on the back cover. The VCD is also in good and playable condition, with a few minor marks. For those not familiar with this book, there is a review located here.
A set of "set one" BME trading cards, (un-numbered, one-thousand set limited edition). Set contains 49 cards featuring photography by Phil Barbosa, Greg Morgan, m. castro, and Steve Haworth.
Asking price for both together is $100.00 USD plus actual shipping cost. If you are interested and have questions, I'll be happy to answer them. I don't really want to part with either of these, but reality intrudes, and so I must.
2007/02/08 00:08 I turned 36. Life is ok. The new job is great, but terribly stressful. I am resuming yoga, and trying to cut back on my smoking. I have been sick for like 5 weeks now. Ear infection to sinus infection to bronchitis. Lucky me. Anyway, things could be far worse. G has a broken foot and no heat in his car, and CM is still fighting the medical establishment to get a definative diagnosis. I play too much World of Warcraft. I plan to lose 10 pounds. That pretty much sums it all up for now. Peace.
Holiday okay
2006/12/26 01:36 So far, this has been one of the better holiday seasons in the past few years, simply due to the lack of drama. CM's health is still a serious issue, but all in all, this year has been better than the prior one.
