I consider myself to be atypical. I'm not super girly (don't let the dresses fool you) and I don't do drama. I love painting (or trying to), playing guitar, and writing. I am also pretty fond of my boyfriend Hayden. =}
I appreciate people that can express their emotions and can hold an interesting conversation with me. There's nothing worse than having a conversation with someone who gives me absolutely no feedback.
I'm very opinionated, and unfortunately think I'm right most of the time, however I'm typically the first to apologize in any sort of argument. I'm atheist and proud of it, although I should probably say I'm Agnostic, because I obviously don't know for certain. I saw the movie Religulous, and Bill Maher explained that Atheists mirror the same certainty as Christians, and I wasn't really aiming for that. Maybe pantheism is for me. For now, though, I'll stick with atheism.
I'm goofy and weird, and love to make people laugh; I'm easily amused.
People with bad grammar bug me.
I love going for walks and just nature, in general. I love walking down to the pond and just sitting and enjoying my own company. I'm not much of a materialist.
I enjoy the occasional video game, but I don't, however, enjoy someone who consumes themselves with video games. Been there, done that.
I read this in a profile and completely agree: "In reality, I find more pleasure in emotional fulfillment, because I'm not simple-minded enough to think that having sex is the most enjoyable aspect of human existence- although it is, just as eating food and attaining a living, important for surviving. However, sex, in my mind, is not the centerpiece of human achievement."
I enjoy listening to relaxing music such as Sigur Ros. It helps me put things into perspective when I'm going through a rough time.
What I'm doing with my life: I am going to school for my Ph.D. to become a Counseling Psychologist. I am currently at a community college working on my basics to save money. In the spring I will be going to UNT. My dream is to open a rehab for individuals who self-injure (trichitillomania, dermatillomania, burning, cutting, bulemia, anorexia).
