2007/08/30 13:27 I'm almost done packing everything-that-can-be-packed-that-we-won't-actively-need-for-two-weeks (this means non-kitchen and normal clothes) stuffs, so I took a break from dustiness to snap some more shots of me. haha. Well, I need something new to throw up on myspace and facebook etc etc.
This one I look eerily like my little sister, so I guess we're related after all.
Then I had some fun with the lasso tool in photoshop. And noticed I sure got a lot of freckles this summer (the ones on my shoulders don't really show up in photos)
2007/08/07 09:37 Still no fabulous news from Immigration. We finally got a notice the application for sponsorship was approved, and that the Residency app was being sent back to the US to the Canadian Consulate in Buffalo (wtf, yeah). They requested additional verification for when our joint bank account was established, which is pretty silly since my "welcome to rbc"-type paperwork has no dates on it. So I resubmitted the print-screen and some random processing page our banklady had printed for us with both our names, client numbers and account numbers and a date of november 15; hopefully they'll realize that page occurred shortly after we submitted for the account joining. I guess it's a good thing to know that our application IS being looked through, right? I just wish they'd make up their fucking minds. I've got 2 weeks left on my extended Visitor's status and I really don't wsnt to apply for another one with a now-this-time-really-we're-just-waiting-for-word-back because I'm horribly afraid they'll say too bad so sad should've applied from within the US. And I want to work so fucking bad it's obnoxious. hado's sister wants me to babysit for a couple weeks in Sept and it sounds like she'll pay me so that should help.
We're definately going to be "renting" their house since they'll be moving into the new one last week of Aug. We went over for dinner on Sun and whoops, they underestimated the costs for gas, water and the mortgage payment so we'll need $1350 + phone/cable/internet instead of the $1200 they told us before. It doesn't sound horribly off excepting that we're currently paying $825 + phone/cable/internet. It's terrifying the thought of having a large space, and eventually owning it.
I feel old and tired and frustrated with always waiting for stuff. I'd like to contribute, and not just by doing laundry. We had various people staying for the long weekend and I totally convinced hado's friend that he had a tattoo of a giant wang. We were working up a tattodesign for him by a guesting artist at Lucky Devil. It's really difficult trying to explain pattern, negative space and body curvature to someone revelling in being dim and high. hado got smashed two days in a row and was frustrated by stupid friend dicking around all weekend trying to score heroine instead of just hanging out together. hado's dad got a job in town and actually seems inclined to look for an apartment/condo instead of moving in with us into the house like he keeps hinting. hado was saying "well, if it was just temporary while he was looking..." and I tried very hard to veto that because you know what happens. Andrew's tattoo made me crave new ink haha, especially since the sleeve design is basically done. Something smaller should come first.
Last month I tried stretching the lobes to 0g. The glass plugs were either minutely off or just didn't want to insert. I used the glass spirals instead but got a tiny tear in the left while doing so. After about 3 days the weight was getting uncomfortable and I wanted to play baseball so I took them both out. For a couple weeks the one looked nasty; the stretching made it lymphy and downsizing only caused it to get trapped in the looser skin and get dry. I doubt I'll use these 2g tunnels again, so I dunno if I'll try taping them or buy metal 0g tunnels to stretch. A girl on gaia made me think about labial piercings again. One or two pairs would be neat. hado wasn't gung-ho when I mentioned it long ago, maybe I'll bring it up again.
I went to a doll meet in downtown To the past weekend; it was definately interesting. Different people seem to know about hidden cool parks in the city so I might go again.
2007/04/30 15:14 Boyfriend's sister has been subtlely nasty lately. (And then tries to masque it up by saying "Oh, just kidding.") I think it started because we asked her to write a reference letter for Immigration and she realized how long we'd known each other? We met back at the end of 2003...when he was living with his girlfriend in a house with his sister and her now-husband. We were simply acquaintances, and then friends for quite a while; I didn't even know he had a girlfriend until shortly before she moved, which was 8-10 months later? I think he waited to openly discuss/define that we even had a relationship until after she was safely out. I'm not sure what the exact "date" was that he and mary broke it off, but she lived there for a while with him until it was convenient (for her) to move. He even dated some other girl for a bit! Ugh.
I was over there a few weeks ago with just the two of us and his sister was saying how upsetting it was when guys cheat on their girlfriends as apparently her old duder was and how annoying it was that he was still friends with her brother. And then we asked her about the letter, and she seemed surprised when I mentioned when we'd met. I dunno wtf she wants me to do. I certainly would never knowingly approach a guy who was attached. I get enough innuendo from some of their group of friends who already thought I "stole" him from mary. Obviously they were already fucked up or he wouldn't have been spending 2-6 hours a day online chatting with other people instead of spending waking hours together. : P
I also found I've gained probably 15-20lbs in the past 6 months. I'm pulling shorts and stuff out of boxes and finding that none of it fits. Fuck, time to exercise some more, I guess. I'm not looking forward to his cousin's wedding, or finding something to wear to it. Is it okay to wear black to a May wedding? In the afternoon? I'm pretty much limited to either a black top and some bright-coloured skirt, or a black skirt and some sort of button-up shirt. And bare legs: classy! omf, I haven't been to a wedding in about 7 years when I went to my cousin's. I should have paid attention at my siblings' weddings. I don't overly want to look 12.
I'll need to order some 0g tunnels soon. I should probably wait until after the wedding to be tactful.
I'd like to go to BMEfest but I'm terrified. ohfuck. It would be easier to decide if I actually knew anyone. x__x Curse you- social disorder!
