I sustain forward momentum through my enthusiastic hand gestures
I'm Megan, living in Wellington, NZ, and loving it. I've been interested mods of different kinds for a few years now (and been lurking around BME, and finally gotten off my butt to get an IAM account) and I love learning more about them, and talking with other people about their experiences and thoughts. I'm pretty lightly modded right now, for a variety of reasons, but I love what I have, although I admire people who can pull off a more elaborate collection. I usually explain things by flinging my arms about to accent my points, so intros like this don't usually go so well, as you might have guessed, ha.
I'm studying at the moment, english and a bit of art history, and I have a bit of a nerdy love of cameras.
Current mods:
1/2" lobes
2ga conches (punched)
14ga Nipple
16ga Nostril
2x tattoos
It's a pretty short list, but I figure I've got my whole life to add to it, and I like being a work in progress.
Brand-fresh-new conches. 2ga conches, punched by Scott at Ninjaflower piercing.

And again, with the lazy updating.
I've been good, managed to swing an awesome new job, where I get to listen to the radio all day long. I love it, I get to listen to news for about 30 hours a week. I like it mostly because I find out about things I never would have heard of otherwise, because most of what I listen to is Govt funded, and can therefore appeal to whoever it likes, rather than being commericially-viable.
New job also equals money for rent, food, and jewellery (my three main expenses, in roughly that order...) Mmm, tasty tasty Onetribe gorgeousness winging its way to NZ at some point in the future.
I popped into Ninjaflower yesterday to catch up with Scott and Esther (the shop has been open for 6 months now, so if you're from Wellington and haven't been in you really should) and organise to get some nape microdermals put in.
Aaand, I was going to ask if anyone had any insights about CT/MRI scans and microdermals (less silly/unlikely than it sounds, all my Docs have been pretty scan-happy) but a quick google confirms my initial thoughts which were basically Ti = non-ferrous = not a major issue. Any experiences of anyone reading this are still welcomed as a point of interest though. :)
2009/10/29 17:50 I'm terrible with this IAM thing, my account expires, and then I mean to get on to it and forget, then it's renewed and I forget that happened, ah...
Anyway, mod-wise (and other-wise, really) things are looking sunny. My conches are aaaalmost healed which means I can change out the jewellery in them soon. (!!!) Next on the list is some nape microdermals, and a tattoo on my left shoulder/arm at the end of summer. Excitement. I've got a vague wafty plan after that, but those two things are pretty much solid plans at this stage.
