foxie   Melbourne, Australia
So I guess this is where I describe myself..

I'm not a fan of the whole describing myself thing, but here it is anyway. I'm Cara, I'm 19 and I am currently studing medicine in Melbourne, Australia. I am pretty awesome (in my mind anyway) and I like many things...including Music, travelling, China, movies, many sports and body mods (which is really a given, considering I'm on here). That's all I can be bothered writing for now.

I have a blog here that you can read if you are for some reason incredibly interested in me.

Septum - havent had it in for a while, so its existance is questionable.
I had to retire my surface on my stomach a while ago.

There are certainly going to be more piercings, tattoos and maybe a suspension in the future. All of these, however, require money (which I am currently lacking) and jobs I want in the future rule out many things.

Nape: My microdermal at 6 months
2008/03/22 00:29 Yeah, its been forever since I last wrote here. I have been ridiculously busy with uni and the million other things I feel the need to commit to, I also have shitty dial up internets at the moment. So yeah... I might get back to posting slightly more regularly, but then, I might not.

2008/01/27 23:19 I managed to suspend my account for the week before the exam and I must admit that I am quite proud of myself for actually doing it. Perhaps it is something that I should do more often.

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea how the exam went. Around a quarter of the people in the course had to do it, which certainly made me feel less stupid - though it seems to hardly makes any sense that so many people to fall in the 'borderline range'.

Apparently we will find out the result when they are able to get together the board of examiners. In other words, it could happen whenever and it would not come as a huge suprise if we found out just a few days before we are supposed to start - thanks monash for making it impossible for us to apply to any other course that we might want to do.

At the moment I am still in Melbourne, looking for a place to live. It's really starting to annoy me as I have basically had to do this myself and I would really prefer to be back in Queensland right now.

I feel as if I am being quite annoying to Adam at the moment. I feel quite bad about it, but I just can't seem to help it.

2008/01/14 16:29 I have been spending far too much time on here when i have much more important things to be doing, so I have decided to try to suspend my account for the next week. I'm not sure how exactly it works or if it is actually going to happen - I've emailed the bme support, which is what I assume I have to do. So yeah, hopefully I until next week.

Stupid America
2008/01/06 23:21 So, I guess most people that know me know that I get really excited about voting. I love the fact that I got to vote when I was 17 and I love the fact that I am a citizen of two countries and thus have double to opportunities to vote - or so I thought.

I was reading the newspaper today and it just clicked that it is now 2008, the year I have been waiting for, the year in which I would have my first chance to vote in a US presidential election (I know this may sound slightly exaggerated but it's not, I have very clear memories of spending a lunchtime in the computer room at school watching (and being disappointed by) the results of the 2004 election and realising that I would be able to vote in the next one). So of course, instead of the study I had planned to do, I spent the rest of day trying to understand how the whole election process works (rather unsucessfully because it makes little sense), reading about the various candidates and then trying to figure out how to register to vote.

Eventually I found a website that had details for US citizens who had never had residency. Basically you register in the state that your parent is elgible to register in using their last address. However, only 14 states allow you to do that, if the state is not one of those (California for example) then you are considered an American citizen with no voting rights. I'm going to talk to dad about it sometime, because there is a chance that he could be elgible in Arizona or New York, which are both states which allow it. I really hope something works out, because otherwise I am going to be a very angry person come election time.
