2008/05/07 19:46 Sarahs got a production design job. 6 weeks. I'm mum for 4 weeks, and then off to Portugal to hitch, be a nudist, and see Bob Dylan, Neil Young, the Gossip and RATM! Lyme was excellent... I'm seriously condidering running a boat there next season. What a job.

Brixton Burns
2008/04/05 22:13 Caught the bus headed to Brixton today. Didn't take me all the way there. The bus driver stopped and announced there was a fire near Brixton tube station. So I walked the rest of the way and got some photos of the fire. Lots of smoke, lots of firefighters and police. Tube station was shut down, so I was forced to use my brain and my feet to find an alternate route to Portabello Road. Hoorah!

2008/04/03 15:17 These people have no dried beans. How is it that every day you call this house a home knowing full well that there are absolutely no dried beans in the cupboard. How can I make soup? Today I bought chick peas (so called because they look like tiny, fat, roasted hens)and black beans (so called because they are black). I WILL make soup, and I will teach the little boys how to grow beans in little pocket gardens.
I attended a demonstration of a japanese tea ceremony last night. The woman performing the ceremony studied he art for 5 years in New York, and another 2 years in Kyoto. The ceremony is a samurai tradition, only recently adopted by women such as geishas.

Spent the day child wrangling. Had a shit weekend with sinuses full of blood/puss/browandgreen phlegm. Now I'm going to treat myself to tickets to see the Black Keys at the Astoria on someone elses credit card. Here are some pictures of a cake. Dont worry about the spelling, it tastes great.

2008/03/27 15:11 Went to Crystal Palace Gardens today. Saw dinos from the Sci-fi monstro-kitsch Victorian garden ornament era. Played on the HELTER SKELTER slide with the little boys and laughed at some pugs and told revolting pug stories. Sunshiney good day.
