I'm old :p
2008/06/23 14:44 I have just spent the week in Paris and it was really nice. I got to stay in my parents' flat and it was great cause it's been newly redone and it looks great (except I don't know where things are anymore lol).
On the 7th I went to my friend Violaine's wedding. It was a really nice wedding. The groom being from Africa (I can't remember which country, unfortunately), he entered the church to African drums and there was an African choir singing psalms. It was really nice and original. The party was also very nice with lots of dancing (not for me though lol) and very nice food. Violaine's 78 year old gran danced the night away and I thought it was really cute and fun. I wanna be like that when I'm really old :p
Talking about old, I turned 30 last Friday.
Sylvy was there to celebrate with me and we went to a nice Japanese restaurant with my sister, her boyfriend and a friend. It was very nice. We then took a "vélib" back home (for those of you who don't know it's a public bike service in Paris where you pay €1.00 to rent a bike. There are "stops" all over Paris where you can return it. It's really fun and cheaper than public transports).
I had a nice celebration with my friend Lucie on Saturday evening. We had lots to eat, very good company, and I was litterally spoiled rotten!
All my friends got together to give me money towards a trip to Bali, which is a real dream. Everybody was super generous! I also got a really really really pretty Electric Guitar from Sylvy, to which Maud added a cool Amp
Now all I need to do is learn how to play lol.
To continue the guitar theme my sister and her boyfriend gave me a Guitar Hero game ;). I also got several other things from Sylvy and a really cute photo album that my sister's best friend had printed with lots of pictures from when I was little or more recent ones of everybody :)
I told you I was spoiled rotten :p I'm very touched and feel blessed to have such wonderful friends and family :')
On Sunday Sylvy and I went to Maud's to show Sylvy her new flat. It's really nice and I'm sure it'll look great once she has all the furniture she needs and has decorated it a bit more :)
We then had a nice lunch and went back home to clean up before leaving. It was a quick weekend but we'll spend a whole week together just the 2 of us next month so it's ok ;).
I arrived home late on Sunday and have been recovering ever since (well in between days at work :p)
2008/06/03 18:02 I found someone to continue my tattoo down my arm. I'm so happy! I was a bit worried when dave left but Nellie is coming to the Uk in August/September and she's agreed to work on me. I've always loved ehr work and I think she's amazing.
Check her out!
2008/05/27 18:52 I'm starting to hate weekends again.
Not that I like week days much better but I feel lonelier at the weekends I guess. I wish Sylvy wasn't so far... I was doing better these past months but it's getting harder. And to be honest the stupid weather we've been having hasn't helped. I love living in England but man the dark grey skies are starting to get on my nerves!
I did manage to get out of the house on Saturday though and had a nice day in Camden market. I bought a nifty pair of spirals and tunnels to stretch with so I can wear them at the wedding. They should look nice with my dress :) And the stretch to 4g went easy peasy. Mind you I'd been at 6g for like a year so I wasn't expecting much trouble.
Next week I was supposed to be at pinkpop with Sylvy but that got cancelled. Oh well, i'm sure she and Cas will have fun :)
I can't wait to be in Paris the week after that. It's gonna be nice to catch up with my friends at the weddings and all week and the birthday celebrations should be really cool, with lots to drink and eat so we can forget we're turning 30 :p
Well I guess that's it for today. I'm gonna try to update a bit more often but we know how that goes ;)
