I had an awesome New Year's Eve. Even though I was working, I couldn't have asked for more. The party was awesome. I got my first ever New Year's kiss. I made money instead of spending it.

This year, so far, is panning out to be pretty awesome. Let's see if it can keep up with me.

In short, BRING IT, 2009. I'm ready!

BME, meet Fritz:

He's the newest addition to our family -- we picked him up from the SPCA on Thursday.

He's a four month old blue nosed Pitbull.

He's awesome in every way, aside from the fact that he kicks me in his sleep, but then, that's still cute.

I had to put Dibby down on Saturday.

As of noon on that day, he had almost completely lost function of his rear legs. He spent the entire day laying on his side with his eyes barely open. He lost control of his bladder. His body weight had gone down so much in the past week that I could feel his spine, ribs, and hip bones.

Even with antibiotics, his health kept deteriorating.

I left work early and by 7:30pm, he was put in a happier place.

November, 2003 - November, 2008

Rest In Peace, Dibby. I hope that, wherever you are, you have all the gummy bears, hay chews, electrical cords, and car keys that you could ever want.

Long time comin'.

Seattle was awesome. I saw so many things, ate so much food, and had so much fun, I can't even begin to describe just how awesome it was. Every day was so packed full of things to do, I'm afraid to make a list, because I might forget something.

I'll definitely be going back there as soon as I can. It's a beautiful city, and I have to keep reminding myself that it's gloomy 9 months out of the year to prevent myself from wanting to pack up and move there.
