I'm a tattoo artist living in Austin, Texas. I came down here from San Francisco in 1993.
I've been tattooing in Austin, Texas since 1995. I didn't serve a 'traditional' apprenticeship, but was helped along by several of the top tattoo artists in Texas. Among these are Carson Vester (Hot Stuff Deluxe, Houston), Deb Brody and Richard Stell (Pair o' Dice Tattoo, Dallas), Chris Trevino (Perfection Tattoo, Austin) and Andreas Merrill (somewhere in Canada from what I hear).
These people took pity on me when I made the terrible mistake of signing on for an apprenticeship from a guy called, "Notorious ??." They all pitched in and helped me along until they were able to get me into Diamond Glenn's River City Tattoo (back when Glenn still owned the place!).
Since then I've worked at other shops in town like True Blue Tattoo and Perfection Tattoo. I'm, currently, working at my own studio: Body Adorned.
I was planning to open a studio in Colorado, but I decided to stay in Austin. I couldn't be happier about my decision because I managed to build a beautiful studio for myself and for a bunch of my friends! It's been a 4 year dream and now it's a reality!

I don't post images of the tattoos I wear becauase I don't want them copied. All of my tattoos have been kept out of publication except for 1. This has been a mutual decision made by the artists who have done my work and myself. Some of the artists that have worked on me are: Chris Trevino, Richard Stell, Dan Higgs, Deb Brody, Andres Merrill, Mark C. Merchant, Karen Slafter, Chris Conn, Harley Goodson, and Frank Lee

I've been a busy little beaver with the studio and with my Japanese Tattoo & Art book store- but SOMEHOW, I managed to find time to start a new forum community for people who are interested in tattooing and piercing! I'll be posting more about it in the coming days, but I wanted to mention it tonight and to put up a link. It's been a while!
2004/06/28 16:43 I haven';t had any time to get on here in quite a while! I tried to visit a friend's page and I couldn't get in because i haven't been keeping up with my diary, lol. I guess I'm going to have to break away from my shop and spend a little more time on here!
