| 2009/01/06 21:26 Today feels good. I may not have a job, but I did get my severance and bonus checks in the mail yesterday for staying till the end. I was really tempted to go out and start my full sleeve, I'll be honest. Somewhere in the recesses of my adult brain I dug through the little kid mentality and I remembered that I'd be a lot happier this summer without bills hanging over my head. So, I paid my car insurance until the end of May, paid my phone until February, brought my car to the shop to finally get the busted wheel bearing fixed (and other stuff that I'm sure isn't going to be cheap.) Best of all...I paid off my very last credit card, so as of January 6th 2009 I am completely debt free! That will last for all of a couple years, as I took out a couple loans for school...luckily they're very small. I feel so responsible.
It feels weird not having a job for the first time in 11 years (with the exception of the short stint in college.) I can't say I like it much.

One more week of work until I'm laid off. Christmas is coming, and winter has hit upstate NY with full force. I'm doing well at remaining calm and in a good mood. You'd think I'd be depressed, but I'm not. Everything just goes down so easy...

| 2008/11/12 16:43 Well, seeing as the job-losing thing is coming December 30th for sure... I can't afford to be here right now. My account membership expires tomorrow, and I need save as much money now as possible. I'll be going radio silence for a while, no idea how long... probably until I have time to not have a cold and/or take some new pictures... it could be a while.
