2008/12/31 02:02 I was sort of disheartened today when a friend decided to tell me that my life would only get worse with Obama in the White House. I'm sorry, I find it difficult to believe that McCain/Palin would do a better job. My basis for this argument was mainly the character debate the Republicans kept trying to push, while the Democrats would make a comment or two about it, then move on to subjects that mattered. To me, if you can't put the petty bullshit aside and actually concentrate on real solutions to the problems plaguing this society, maybe you aren't it to be in a public office. I'm hoping thats how the majority that voted feels.

The other thing that has got me thinking, and this will probably be brainstormed here for a little bit is, why is this loss so crucial to the Republican party? I don't remember after the last 2 elections Democrats (Tastycrats) freaking out and calling for a restructuring of the entire party because they lost. I assume its just a way for the Fingerlicans to keep themselves in the lime light, and gain more attention. Someone mentioned that the Fingerlicans were for small business and lower taxes, however this message has been severly stunted by the introduction of radical church going peoples. If you took religion out of the politics, and made it a purely logical debate with real pro's and con's, maybe the people would give more of a shit as opposed to trying to find the best band aid for the solution because trying to tear down and the fix the system would be way to much work, and people would be in too much of an uproar over work, change, and quite possibly, progress.

You want my vote, prove to me that you're not just out to make money for yourself and punish those motherfuckers that actually take advantage of the system. I'm not going to apologize for the decision I've made, but if a decent argument comes up that doesn't mention the bible, then I might be willing to listen and reconsider.

2008/12/23 23:22 I'm sitting in front of this thing feeling compelled to write something. I don't have anything interesting to really talk about. Attempts to leave the house this evening were sort of futile, if non existant. I have tomorrow off, you'd think I'd do something more interesting. Maybe thats just part of my mind that thinks i need to 'live' more.

I actually spent this evening reading some Hunter S. Thompson and a book called "A Brief History of the Mind". My brain started to fuzz out at some point, so here I am in front of the 'puter.

Stretching my nose ring up to 12 gauge is still some what stingy. Frank Zappa is playing in the background, and I feel compelled to toss on some Futurama and call it a day

2008/11/06 01:19 The freeways of phoenix, though for the most part being flat, lend itself to some natural curvature here and there. When viewing the horizon from an overpass getting ready to merge with the flow of traffic, one can see in the distance what looks like lightning. Upon further inspection it turns out to be a photo radar cam.

Phoenix has adopted a Big Brother-esque scheme to regulating traffic. Over a decade ago, I had an internship at the Tempe courthouse when they first started with the photo radar phenomenon. I was hoping back then it would just sort of breeze by us, kind of like solar panels, and other such technologies that would make our lives easier and take some strain off the already mangled environment. Apparently, catching people speeding is at the forefront of human technology.

Listening to NPR, I recently heard a news story describing that the details of the laws for photo radar may be changed. That the registered owner of the vehicle wouldn't be responsible for somebody else driving and breaking the law with their vehicle. If this is the case, I will be driving through the city wearing a hockey mask. Yeah, prove its me behind the mask you asses.

Onward to other subjects.

While I am happy about the presidential election, I'm really disappointed in the state of Arizona as a whole regarding gay marriage. The asshats of this state voted for Prop 102, which changes the definition in the AZ constitution. It defines marriage as the union between a man and woman.

So we are in the age where a black man can become president, and yet people of different sexual orientations are still treated as second class citizens. That's fucked. I'm straight, and I think this entire idea is bullshit. And if anyone reading this honestly thinks they can change my mind, then, to quote an online videogame journalist, "You have your head so far up your ass that you are in fear of choking on your own head." Take your outdated ideals and stick them up your ass. Better yet, try and swallow them so you fucking choke and rid this world of your archaic bullshit.

And that's not a slight against my friends who hold religious values. It's a statement against anyone, ANYONE, who holds a double standard of equality, or just thinks themselves superior due to race, religion or otherwise.

Cap'ns Log
2008/10/21 22:05 So today had an interesting start to it. One of my coworkers was fired. Not that its really a surprise. More of a shock at how sudden it happened. He deserved it. I've never seen someone given so many chances. I mean, falling asleep a dozen times at your desk, on top of spending at least 6 hours of the work week in the bathroom, who's to say it wasn't coming. Needless to say, things should run a little more smoothly.

Myspace had their "Secret Stand Up" show this evening. David Alan Grier was the comedian at tonights show. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. The comedians I've chosen to see over the years, I've sat there and laughed so hard my stomach hurt. Tonight was just, I guess like watching t.v. Anyways.

I could pine over the gorgeous woman in the blue dress there, or the equally attractive woman that is taken that I met at a party this weekend, but I think sleep would be more productive.

Slightly Under Construction constantly....FEAR THE HAMSTER!!!

I've been virtually hugging random people since about 1998. I play in a band whose mascot is a Space Hamster. I live under a roof. I will continue this at some point...

Music and art are my life. I spend most of my time composing and a lot of time getting ready to perform. Below is a link to our myspace account. My band American Gods, will be releasing our new album, EC-10, very shortly. The first track, Machina, is currently sitting at number 1 on the garageband.com industrial list.
