i go by steve. i have a beard. im unsure of the stability of this paradigm.
i called north carolina home, despite rarely being there. bands and boats sieze me away from the joys of the south oh too often.
i've been piercing professionally since august 2001. i love it, but with strong critiques of the workings inside capitalist systems.
i make musics. sometimes with myself, sometimes with others.
and i sail. like sailboats. it's the best ever.
to conclude, i like critical theory, turritopsis nutricula, and the doomsday device.
listening: astor piazzolla. masami akita.

so it's been a bit, of course.
i did it, i bought a sailboat in april. over the summer i sailed from north carolina to nova scotia and back. it was epic, to say the least.
it's done, im married to the sea.
ive been touring with the band, we're going on tour again and have shows listed on our website. after that, im doing what 65 year olds do and sailing to the bahamas for the winter. then, the band is touring europe for a few months next spring. i don't get excited much anymore, but that's exciting to me.
i feel totally separate from the bme/piercing scene nowadays. it's odd how things change, it was like my whole life six or so years ago.
anyhow, friends i still have here, it's good to keep in touch
come sailing
in the meantime ill be in NYC for a bit, and various other dismal monuments of civilization, to be overdramatic about it all.
ive been in a band called from the depths for like a year now and i forget if i ever mentioned it.
there's music on there if you'd like to hear it. we just did a 6 week west coast tour that i saw some of you all on.
anyway, open invite to everyone to come visit me and sail. coastal NC, it's beautiful. seriously. we can talk about the heroic age of antarctic exploration, cause that's all i talk about right now.
i totally never update. my bad.
lets see, since last time i went to the west coast for a month, went on tour for two, went to the RNC/DNC protests, and im about to go sailing then travel across canada.
so, beloved canada and west coast, im coming to visit and would like to hang out with you. for real.
drop me a line.
one day, ill update for real, with pictures and whatnot. just imaging touring the DIY circuit with your punk band playing basements all the time, sailing the sounds and seas, lots of bike riding and critical theory, and you pretty much got my life.
ps. i moved into a shed on 60 acres in NC. it's really awesome, come visit. i don't have electricity.
