2009/11/21 19:03 got myself a 1988 F150, it has a 3 inch lift on it, and big tires, I cant describe how redneck this truck is! I will have pictures tomorrow.
almost got it home when it stalled at a stop sign one block from my house, I had to pick Suzi up into it so she could steer it while I pushed it out of the road. Had Derek come by and we found a lose wire, and a little bit of red neck wiring all around inside it, but other than that the engine looks clean, clutch doesn't slip, its a little wonky on the highway. Im hoping to fix some of the wiring stuff on it and make it a reliable rig for when I need to haul shit around, or if Im going to the shooting range so I don't beet up Suzis car any more than I already have.
2009/11/20 11:58 how did I gain 3 lbs since yeasterday? combined with the .7lbs I gained the day before and I am up to almost 4 lbs in two days! WTF!
well I was up a little later than planned yeasterday so this morning I kept waking up and going back to sleep, and by the time I got out of bed I only had enough time for a 30 min work out. I think I am going to try and do more when I get home from the shop.
Im hoping some of the weight gain is due to my having some saltier food then normal yesterday. I had some Chinese food, and then Suzi surprised me with chilly and garlic bread last night. (so a lot of salt)
My weight training this morning was a lot easier than it has been, and I have upped the reps on everything, so I am hoping that I have put on muscle weight as well. I cant really point to anything I ate as to having 3lbs worth of fat, hell I don't think I have eaten 3lbs worth of food in a day...
My balance transfer went threw on my credit cards, not before capital one was able to squeeze one more overdraft fee out of me, those fuckers! how is it a charge to my account goes threw almost instantly but a payment takes up to 3 fucking days to post...Oh well, that card is down to just $250, so it will be payed off soon. and I have decided that I want to pay it off totally before I put any tattoo stuff on it. so it looks like it might be a while before I really can start practicing tattooing.
2009/11/19 10:15 and zero loss, well technically I was .7lbs heavier then yesterday, but after the work out this morning I was .3lbs lighter, so Im going to chock the .7lbs up to water weight.
I did 50 min of cardio, and a total of 40 push ups, then the bicep curls and chin ups.
I had a good breakfast of fresh mango, going to have some acorn squash and coconut rice for lunch, with apple and carrots as a snack thought the day, and then lentils with coconut rice for dinner. I wish it was brown rice, but all I had in the house was white rice, and I cant justify buying rice when I already have some in house, but once its gone I will be buying brown rice, and when all the pasta is done I will only be having whole grain pasta.
looking forward to going out Sunday with Suzi on our 6 month anniversary. I know these first 6 months have been tough with her having a new job, and me being away at the shop almost every day, and then out cleaning banks 5 nights a week on top of that. I am hoping that the next 6 months will allow things in our lives to start to slow down.
2009/11/18 12:19 well as of this morning I am down another 2.2lbs! so that makes 8lbs total since I started working out and changing my diet. I did mostly strength training today, and then 15 min of cardio. I feel like I am making some good gains strength wise, I cant wait for my waist to start to slim out.
2009/11/17 13:43 well today was a cardio day, ran 6 miles in 30min, did another 20 min of shadow boxing, and before and after I did push ups until I was burnt out, then I did kneeling pushups until I was burnt out. and the same with chin ups. I only lost about .5 lbs since yesterday, but that works out to 2.5-3lbs a week (with a 5-6 day work out week) and that is a healthy sustainable wait loss rate. so with a wait loss rate of 10-12lbs a month I should be down to my goal in no time.
got to do some finagling with my banking today, and hopefully get most of my credit card debt onto a 0% for 6 months card, and that should help me pay off my credit card debt faster.
2009/11/16 18:03 well went out to lunch with my dad today, went to a small local place that has awesome seitan pepper steak sandwiches (I know, not the healthiest thing I could have eaten on my new diet, but not often my dad takes me to lunch) on the plus side I only ate half of it and saved the other half for just now when I wanted dinner (a first for me)
went to UVM for a possible job as a standardized patient, good news is there is a good chance that they will use me, bad news is work is spotty at best, so it wont be the steady flow of money I thought it would be.
on my way back from UVM I got a call from the UVM Student Health Center, and long story short all issues relating to Tattoos or Body Piercings that they get will be sent to Dereks and My shop Jade Lotus!
2009/11/16 13:05 well did a good work out this morning. I have to say, the Wii fit really is helping me to push beyond my limits, and has me doing things I wouldn't normally be doing. like doing a side plank between each push up, it really makes the push ups a lot harder. (I can usually bang out 15 in a row no problem, and 20 with just a little issue near the end, but doing a side plank between each one and I am maxing out around 15, and having to do knee push ups to get to 20)
so I did about 45 min of resistance training, and 20 min of cardio, got a good sweat going, unlocked some more reps with the Wii, wed work out will be even harder, tomorrow I plan on doing 45min cardio and 20min resistance training. I figure 3 days a week of resistance training, 2 days of cardio, and 1 day of a light work out/yoga will keep me on track to my goal of a 34"-32" waist.
I even ended the work out with 10 chin ups (its starting to get easier to get 10 in, and I am pulling myself higher than before so I think I will be moving up to 15 a day) and as many single arm bicep curls as I can do with 40 lbs, so far I can get 5 in. Im hoping that goes up soon.
2009/11/15 15:19 well my search for a vehicle is coming to an end. nothing that met my fancy has panned out, and it looks as though suzi and i are not moving, so the need for a vehicle has dropped. I think maybe I will start looking again at the end of winter, maybe I will be able to pick up someones winter beater for cheap.
weather sucks today, probably not going to be a fun day...maybe Ill tattoo myself some more.
2009/11/14 12:58 well I had told myself that I wasn't going to do any workouts on the weekends, the thinking was I should give my body some time to rest, and also since Suzi doesn't work on the weekends I figured I would just stay in bed with her until it was time to go to work. Well this morning I woke up early, and decided to do some yoga so I dont tighten up too much, well the yoga lead to me doing about 10min of light cardio, and then 20 push ups, 20 chin ups, and then some bicep curls with a 40lb dumbbell. So not too heavy of a work out, but a work out none the less. I am also happy to report that I have lost another 3lbs, so that is 6lbs total, and today is only my third work out.
I am still on schedule with my new eating habits as well, this morning I had 1 waffle with bananas on top (no butter or syrup) I brought an apple, dried TVP with spices on it, and raw green pepper slices to snack on, and some lentils with a low fat, low salt curry for lunch. (the curry is made up of cyan, chilly, tumeric, cumin, and cinnamon powder and some black pepper mixed with water. and of course the only thing I am drinking on a regular basis is water. I do plan on keeping some of my favorite snacks as a semi regular thing so that I don't go into withdraws and then a binging period on them, the difference will be I will do it with less frequency and I will stick to serving suggestions when I do eat them.
I am hoping that a diet like that will keep my body from going into survival mode and eating muscle and storing fat. I am also hoping that the low calorie snacking is going to speed up my metabolism some. Part of my workouts is geared to putting on muscle so that my resting caloric burn rate goes up. over all I am feeling much more rested, and less hungry. I am hoping that my paycheck comes today so I can do some food shopping Monday and get myself some more lentils, beans, and whole grain oats.
I am also hoping to order some tattoo Ink, a foot switch, needles and tubes so that I can start practicing tattooing on a more regular basis. I hope that the state gets my paperwork filed soon so that I can start counting hours as well.
