2009/10/25 02:17 So it's hot in the desert. For the first week my nose was always bleeding. The vegetation here is all pretty much going in to hibernation for the "winter", which is apparently really cold for Afghanistan, but I am fucking loving it here. A little confused because things have been all over the place, not sure where in the company I'm going to be, or how long for etc, but I have hopes once it's in 49's hands he'll take care of it all. The Internet here is absolutely dicks, but the fact that we have it to start with is amazing. Especially considering where we are.
2009/10/19 00:31 Well it's hard to say how I feel about this summer and fall leading up to deployment. I met a lot of really cool people, and spent some good time with good friends. (And bad time, with people who are just not worth it). I feel genuinely sorry for those I didn't get to see in Montreal (and Edmonton) but wanted to, you can thank the assholes who bombarded me to make plans. For some reason every time I come back I think they might have changed, might have grown, but they're still immature pussies who aren't ever going to go anywhere. Grow the fuck up.
Needless to say I am packed now, and leave for Afghanistan tomorrow. I might be able to check in periodically, but it will be few and far between. If you want to send me mail (which will go far to brighten my days), hit me up on facebook. Don't send me any bombs. See you guys in the spring!
