My name is Stephanie Campbell and I have been tattooing on and off for the last 13 years; full time for the last 3 as the senior artist with Dragon FX Kingsway, in Edmonton, AB, Canada. I have a daughter and 2 cats.
All portfolio photos are original and un-edited. I'm not a believer in photoshop. I know that good work speaks for it's self without needing to be 're-touched'.
I do a little bit of everything, from portraits, to UV, to full color and full black and grey, to cover-up, re-works and fixes. You name it, I've probably done it.
I currently have 2 apprentices; one who is almost finished, and one who just started.

2009/11/18 23:11 Drawing Drawing Drawing. There never seems to be enough time to get it all done! I seem to forever have a backlog..... That's the problem with tattooing for a good chunk of your day while trying to baby sit a bunch of monkeys: there's no time to draw at work, so instead you're up till 2am drawing. Sigh. The awful life I lead. LOL
The babysitting the monkeys part though? That's getting goddamn tiring. I keep catching myself wanting to lead them to the trash compactor, where there are no cameras, and the capacity of the compactor is a guesstimated 50 bodies. Now, don't get me wrong; I don't want to take them all out there. Just most of them.
Seriously, though? How is it that every childish thing that can happen, always happens while I'm in my room? At the end of it, I'm left with a he-said, she-said situation. And I just want to grab both parties by the hair and knock them together a little. LOL.
Anyway, back to the drawing. I should have some free time again soon to catch up on photo uploads, and IM's....
2009/11/11 23:14 My brother has been calling me. We've spoken more in the last week than we have in over 10 years. He's off the street drugs. He sounds clear. Good things are coming from this, and I believe in my heart he's gonna be ok. My mum on the other hand......
I'll worry more about that when I get to it. THe point is, I am slowly finding solid ground again. A foundation to stand on and build from. With him and with myself.
I added a few more photos to the portfolio a moment ago. Some bare outlines of cool stuff, and a blue and black tribal coverup, which I'm actually diggin so far.
In other news, I died my hair brown in an attempt to help it be healthy. It didn't last a week, and is red again. See brown pic below of the day it was done. I'll put the brown destruction photos up when I get them off of my phone.
Otherwise, a bit of a slow work week. Tis to be expected this time of year, I suppose!

2009/11/06 22:44 my leg is now stiff and sore. I never really think about the consequences of covering such a large area in solid black all at once.... lol My calf had so much fluid in it wednesday night, I pretty much had a boob on it....
This whole family stress thing is really getting to me. And now work is slow, even for me..... I hope it'll pick up soon *fingers crossed*. I'm tired of walking around with all of the world on my shoulders. I'm patiently waiting for all of this to pass. Duck and cover.
