A New Reality - Mark Knight & Martijn Ten Velden ft. E-man (Jesse Rose Remix)
Can you vision this place?
A place where music is our sanctuary, our life.
Where it defines our every move.
Where notes and measures are as important as air, water, and oxygen.
A place where movement is a winding road that leads to the most beautiful rainbow of people of all colors and races driven by one beautiful soundscape.
If you can see this place, then we can be this place.
We can make this dream our reality.
Keep music first in your heart, keep it in a sacred place.
Keep it free of all contempt, free of opinion.
Make it longer, stronger, better, faster.
Make it so it will never die.
Make it for a new generation.
Can you vision that place? Can you see this place?
in guatemala. going to be trainhopping back up north to houston and then flying to hawaii to join either a permaculture community or else a monastery. either or, you know. my account expires in 4 days, no one bother adding any time though, I won´t be back for another year or so, I´ll have more to say then anyways.
peace and love
what the fuck is an internet? I´ve got my djembe. I´ve gotten the ink splatter tattooed. I´m in the jungle. I´m sneaking into the pyramid ruins tonight. I´ve been jumping waterfalls daily. fucking starving though, seriously, I need someone to feed me, I´m still really bad at this. going to guatemala in a few days. heading to panama for the boat. planning on hawaii sometime in the not too far future, I hear there are a lot of really good permaculture farms and hippie communities there. plus 30% of hawaiians are japanese so I can get back into speaking the language and maybe hook up a translating job for a bit to pay for the rest of my tattoos. feeling good, what else is there? nada
cuidate amigos
I'm in San Cristobal right now. today I'm buying a djembe for myself and a didgeridoo for a girl named Phoenix. Going back to Palenque tomorrow. seriously, I can't stress how fucking amazing it is to be in a jungle. Waterfalls, all kinds of leaves, upon vines upon trees and monkeys and the best fucking climate possible and happiness.
for reals.
and yesterday I met a guy who's a tattoo artist/scarification/piercer and he's building himself a pretty damn cool natural habitat and I'm going to help him out and get my tattoos and scarification work finished. he also does traditional aztec and mayan tattoos, hand poked. I got jade in my septum, my ears are feeling great, but they're still a couple weeks away from my jade plugs. I'm cutting my tongue back a bit further in a couple of days, just because. those with split tongues know what I'm talking about.
and
what else? I have no idea, I'm very fucking happy though.
Well, tomorrow I'm selling my computer and DJ equipment. I manifested a buyer the first night I got here. last night, got my drink on good. cholula is a remarkable little city. perhaps a bit too into itself though. tomorrow I buy a djembe, I have been dying for this day for too long. being stuck at the beach for 22 days really wasn't all that bad at all. it's nice not to be bitten the fuck up by sand flies. I did my laundry today. I am buying a few kilos of almonds and possibly some other assorted nuts. on sunday I leave here for veracruz where I'll meet up with a few more of the gang, and then we train hop to the luscious jungle of palenque. I won't have my own computer anymore so I won't be online much anymore, my bad. I've got too much living to do to spare any time online. Guatemala after, and eventually to panama where I find work on a sailboat. learning spanish, apprendo espanol pero entiendo mas de ablar. I think? it's actually easier if I pretend I don't know english and only speak in japanese and spanish. my friend gave me a spanishenglish dictionary for my birthday, it's being used.
I'm quite tired tonight, I need to try to be a little nicer to my feet, dancing barefoot all day and night will make you hobble a bit. I can't seem to keep my sandals on though. the sand at the beach really kept my feet clean. I miss my wave punching routine, that was good fun and an interesting and enjoyable way to stay active. my thighs are deathly pale in comparison to the rest of me. it's so good to have sun again. let me repeat myself, it's so good to have sun again. I haven't been cold in month, it's spectacular.
tonight's dubstep night here in cholulandia, but I haven't really felt like going out, the feet are still sore. you can get tacos delivered to your house en mexico. the largest pyramid in the world outside of egypt is just a 2 minute walk from this house. the spanish covered it in dirt and built a church on top, but they've restored one side of the pyramid. it's a little offputting how catholic everyone here is, kinda like the quebecois.
I find myself having a hard time getting attached to much. I need to fight to keep from throwing everything away. bare minimum essentials are what I'm going for. this is my adventure, I can't be hanging onto heavy stuff that'll be weighing me down. I need to go find my pai mei. I will disappear for a few years and be a monk training some kind of martial arts. I need to find a master who can teach me healing. I will be a traveling shaman. I will drum, play my bamboo flute, and resonate the singing bowl, dance, sing, make merry.
tired, goodnight, goodbye.
I'll be back later, maybe, when my tattoos are doner.
nos vemos.
been on the beach here in Playa Azul since the first. Met lots of great people druing semana santa, learning spanish, sleeping in hammocks, and washing my troubles (what troubles?) away in the ocean at least 3 times a day.
Thanks all for the birthday wishes, I had a great one. Felt a little sick last night, but it´s gone away. I love coconuts and peanut butter and fruit. Selling my DJ equipment after one last show in Cholula, then I´m train hopping to the Palenque jungle with a djembe and singing bowl and then Panama. I´ve thrown in my lot with 3 other travelers, we´re busking and selling artesenia, and enjoying life of course. yup
peace and love ay
dear life,
its nice to be living on the beach, thanks.
yup
