| 2010/02/08 19:04 Exams are finally over! until june when round 2 starts, cue epic celebration and my mates 20th birthday. spent all day in london doing all the touristy stuff we could never be arsed to do up till now, regardless of the fact i was at uni in london for 2 years.
Messy Messy night out in portsmouth that culminated in giving up trying to wear 5 inch high heels and asking the "stree preist" people very nicely if i could have a pair of the flipflops they were handing out to drunken people.
have also decided that i am getting a new dermal anchor just in front of my ear for some unknown reason. if the boyfriend dosent like it well.... |

| 2010/01/27 13:16 Yay, back at home and a week off from uni, well not really, more a week of revision and exam preparation.
I wanted somthing to read earlier and ended up with my copy of the god delusion by Dawkins. Pretty heavy stuff i guess but it does raise some very interesting points. Being an undergraduate studing a science degree i accept the theory of evolution over the bible, well more specificaly genisis and the story of creation. as a child i was taught at school/church/sunday school that the world was created in 7 days etc etc and that it was true because the preist/teacher etc would not make it up. Then you go to the natural history museum and are confronted by a huge dinosaur skeleton. I belive the theory of evolution to be true because there is hard evidence for it. whereas there is no proof to back the bile/other holy books up, most likely why it is called faith. religion is good but surely it is more of a moral code for living and trying to live your life in a way that benifits everyone than taking what is written in a book about events that happened 2000ish years ago and wernt written down until much later as true, word for word.
I'm not trying to offend anyone with this mini essay, everyone is entitled to their own beleif and i'm not tring to force mine on anyone, purely because i'm not entirely sure what they are. i just wanted to air what has been in my head all morning.
I also appologise to the grammar police if my spelling and punctuation leave something to be desired.
