I'm all about the pharmacology, currently a researcher. i love embracing the alternative as it allows for lifestyle customisation exactly for oneself, be it by doing something different or by choosing not to.. i love the artistry and composition of mods and dream of a day when body imagery is as asthetic and transient as a haircut..go transhumanism go! i love meeting new people, especially those with an interesting story to tell!so hit me up!

Session 3: Nz Birds, session 3
side piece update
2008/12/24 16:05 heres some updated photos of my side piece, its really coming along! these are from post session 3 and post session 4. 1 month apart as i was on holiday in san diego for the most beautiful wedding.
1 session left to finish the other 3 birds and chuck a black line around the whole thing.

2008/10/29 10:47 heres some updated shots of the outlines (1 week post 1st sitting [2ish hours]) and from the second sitting (3hours).
I can definitely say the stomach is the worst but none of it was too bad, so far..gets very raw by the end of 3 hours of intense colouring.. was just focused on slow steady small breaths to minimise rib cage movement.. last 10min and final wipedown/dressing was FUN!..
next session is in a week,and we will finish the kiwi (ran out of time during the recent sitting) in the north island and start on the south island, probably just get time to do dark colours..then a month off while im galavanting round LA, SD and LV...great times ahead!

A group of friends got talking about tattoos, old school in particular, and then we had the great idea of a 'mom' heart but with 'you mum' in the banner... its a fairly common greeting amongst the people i know "fucked your mum last night" or to the like.. i said id do it if they payed for it, so it happened, they made a facebook group, raised the money and i went through with my promise.oh and btw thats NZ$

Description: Like all stupid ideas, this one begins with a story....
It was a dark and stormy night. To keep warm a group of students began to drink. And talk some crap. And drink some more. And somewhere in the smack talk an idea was born - an idea that maybe won't change the face of the planet, solve world hunger or bring about an end to war but one that will see a Mr Scott Smart scarred for life and give the rest of us a giggle.
In short, Scott has rashly promised that if we, the people of Dunedin, can raise the cash he will get a tattoo. On his ass. And not just any tattoo - this will be like those cliched sailor tattoos with the heart and the word 'Mum' in a banner...only this one will say Your Mum.
In other words, if we pay for it he will come. To the tattoo parlour and forever more Your Mum will be on Scott's Ass.
This group is primarily for accepting pledges for the Tattoo Fund.
40 Hour Famine style no money will be accepted straight away but we will accept promises for donations on the wall.
Once the $200 goal is has been promised there will be a party/pint night/mystery event to collect the funds and the next day Mr Smart will have Your Mum. On His Ass.
Any excess money will then be taken to the nearest pub and put on the bar so that we can all buy the man a well earned drink and toast some classic stupidity.
New tattoo project
2008/10/14 08:35 got some outline plans from Brendan from 'Dig a Tattoo', Dunedin, New Zealand. its the plans for a side piece that will span from my arm pit to my waste line. It's a composition comprised of an outline of New Zealand, filled with native flora and fauna, more specifically birds. New Zealands ecosystem is dominated by birds, and apart fromt he flightless bat, has no other native land mammals. It is instead dominated by birds of all shapes and sizes. Modern introduction of mammals has led to many of the species to become extinct. the left picture is the north island and the right is the south island, you can see the overlap/connection points by the squiggle under the kiwis beak.
apologies for the image quality, they are manipulated scans of a bad photocopy.. got the outlines tattood yesterday so will put a pic up when i get one, colouring to follow over the next weeks
