Hurt Locker
2010/02/01 07:16 Watched The Hurt Locker. I was drawn in from the get go. I really like that there wasn't really a narrative storyline, nor a viewpoint - more of a snapshot of life as a bomb diffuser in Iraq. Also loved that it was directed very much from ground level - how the enemy and the general Iraqi public were indistinguishable because of the nature of the enemy. I know Kathryn Bigelow has won all-sorts for directing on this and I think it's great that it is a woman doing a movie like this also!
Definitely the most raw and peeled back movie about the War on "Terror" that I have seen.
In other news my weekend consisted of swimming, eating and sleeping!
