2009/11/15 10:05 i have sucked at updating this so i thought i'd update you a little on things. the apprenticeship is going really well, i've seen massive improvements in my drawing since starting there 8 weeks ago. it's given me a real love for it again, because before it was a bit of a chore, and there was the added pressure that everything had to be amazing or i wouldnt get an apprenticeship. but now i'm comfortable and relaxed and it's done me the world of good. just being in that environment has helped loads. i've put a couple of my latest drawings at the bottom.
still working at game 4 days a week. i'm not gonna prentnd it isnt soul destroying. i just work hard and try and get through it because it pays the rent. we still have a laugh at times, but especially with christmas coming up there is just SO much to do, and my manager is prone to getting very stressed and angry. we've had so many head office visits and annoyances too lately. it's like every week it;s either the regional manager, HIS manager, loss prevention, mystery shopper.. we just need a break but now it's november even if noone visits we'll be working our arses off anyway. blaaah. as i said though, it pays the rent and i just have to stick it out a little longer. pete said he's gonna start teaching me how to tattoo in the new year so i'll be getting some willing friends to come down and get some work done. i am so excited about it!
things with tom are awesome as usual. been finding it a little hard not seeing him much because i work 6 days a week now and he does shifts so sometimes i barely see him fr 4 days, but it's only temporary, and hopefully i'll be able to work less after christmas at game. we've been talking about holidaying in america next year which is REALLY exciting as i've always wanted to go there!! it's just deciding if we should go to new york or to san fransicso/diego/vegas that is the hard part! i might see if we can time it with the comic con or something.
