Friend me on last.fm

I love pointless philosophical discussions, contemporary art, joking around, and hanging out with my rad crew of friends. I'm a bit of a dreamer, and an idealist. I'm a very loyal person and take pride in the fact that my friends and loved ones can depend on me in good times and in bad. I have a random/goofy sense of humor that often wanders into morbid and offensive territories. Always full of crazy ideas (which may or may not be good ones, haha) that I get psyched about. I'm about half introverted and half extroverted.

I'm really into underground culture, experimental/punk/metal/noise/industrial/ethnic/strange music and sounds and accordions. Also, custom tattoos, and body mods in general, films, museums, skateboarding (12 years), martial arts, biking, vegetarianism/animal rights, canvas shoes, tales of poetic justice, reading, learning, traveling, absurd humor, politics, and I'm also an NPR junky. Athleticism but no jock shit. I post on Lemmingtrail (B.LT). Also, if you can't tell by now, I'm an internet geektard.

Generally I'm not very materialistic, I have my little collections of various things that I treasure but I don't give a shit about fast cars, or flashy clothes. I focus on personal, artistic, physical and spiritual growth rather then that of material and wealth. I'm not much of a sports fan either but can enjoy a game with family and friends if I have to. I prefer going to museums, checking out a club/dive bar, going to a show or just hanging at a friend's house drinking some beers. I notice I get along well with people who would rather walk then drive, and rather have a conversation then watch television.

Drop me a line on MySpace or check out my website for more info.

Current Mods:

  • 00 Gauges in both earlobes
  • Full color sleeve on right arm by Carson Hill

Retired Mods:

  • Snakebite piercings
  • Nape piercing

Future Plans:

Lately I've been more into tattoos and less into piercings for myself, one reason is that I practice martial arts so I can't risk getting a piercing ripped out. I have tattoos planned for the following areas right now:

  • Full back piece
  • Full chest/torso piece
  • Left arm sleeve
  • Left leg sleeve
  • Right leg sleeve
  • Right foot
  • Both hands
  • Front/back of neck

Also... HALLOWEEN!!!!

Kinda bummed cause most of my close friends are gonna be at The Fest in Florida. I dig indy rock but not enough to fly down to Florida - ESPECIALLY ON HALLOWEEN WEEKEND?!?!? I spent like $100 - way too much on my costume. I'm going to be a mummy! I have prosthetics, fake blood, the whole shabbang. Totally gonna rule.

In other news, had a stupid lame cold for the last few weeks, not even that bad, just annoying. Jonesing to get back on my bike again, but don't want to make my cold worse in the increasingly cold and damp weather. Been busy as hell working on stuff for the label and fest. To add to the insanity I organized an Afterparty for the fest and decided to see what happens when one combines hipster DJs with abstract industrial/noise. It's kinda cool because the venue is 2 floors so we can keep the DJs going while we feature noise and shit in the basement, here's the flier:

Anyways, here are some random shots I've taken so far this fall.

Apex Fest III
2009/10/02 16:06

Kinda just been killing time the last few weeks. Still gearing up for the insane month of November with the 2 fests I'm involved in. Went up to Portland, ME to spend time with friends and got some cool shots of Cape Elizabeth, where I was born. Got a neat app for my iphone that makes the pix look all vintage. Check 'em out.

I'll be performing here with my industrial/noise project Xiphoid Dementia. Pretty damn psyched! It's a week after the fest in Boston that Shane and I have organized.

Wow...
2009/09/14 13:04

The show that I played and booked went down last night. It went over perfectly, everything was organized, we were right now time, all the artists had top-notch performances and the Insurgent Theater really brought it. I was really impressed with everyone and a good number of people showed up. We made about $130 at the door most of which I gave to Insurgent Theater because they came from Milwaukee, but some of it went to Diagram A because he traveled a few hours to play the show.

All in all an amazing weekend, great show, good beers, and tons of skating. I added some pics to my profile shots. I'm hoping this is a sign of how awesome Autumn will be!
